What are the reasons why I should work with a Medicare agent?
Answered by 137 licensed agents
The only reason you should work with a medicare agent is because of the quality of understanding you get from quality agent. A true agents purpose is to do right by the consumer. A true agent should be able to communicate the medicare Information clearly, communicate why its important and how it affects you annually. They should be able to not only be responsive but cater to finding a plan where you dont have to change your Dr's or hospitals to use the plan. They will provide you with an annual review to make sure you are always in the best place medically. A quality agent is strong enough to put commission aside to help there consumer.
The same reason you should work with other professionals. I have to certify every year to provide Medicare products to people. I’ve been doing insurance for 36 years. I have 30 companies. You’re just stepping into the Medicare arena. Think that might be a reason.
Medicare agents know the plans and are educated to help choose the best plan for you. Everyone has different needs. And we can help with finding the correct plan for you and be there to answer questions as they arise.
What are the reasons why I should work with a Medicare agent? As agent I am certified each year on Medicare. I am also certified by each carrier that I sale. I am trained by each carrier on their plans.
It is always good to have an advocate. If you work with an independent agent, you have a small business owner that needs and wants your business. If that person is worth their salt, they will always put your interest before their own. The thing that benefits the independent agent more than anything, is what I call shelf-life. The longer you stay with an independent agent the more they make and are able to grow their business. Also, buying from an independent agent doesn't cost you anything. The price and benefits are the same. However, as your needs change, or benefits change from year to year and from company to company, that agent can always steer you to the plan and company that best fits your needs through the years. Relations matter, 800 numbers can't do that.
An Independent Trusted Medicare Advisor/Broker is well versed at all your options and can help you do a thorough review of your needs. Your trusted advisor is there for YOU year round, year after year. Most experienced advisor/brokers stay in the business a long time. 63% of agents are out of the business within the first 2 years.
Medicare choices can be overwhelming. Even how to sign up for Medicare and knowing when to do it can be fraught with questions. Having a reputable agent who understands and listens to your concerns can make your enrollment a seamless process. An agent who works in your market can ensure the plan you select meets your needs, and can be a continued resource from year to year. Work with an agent you like and trust!
You can try to chose a plan by yourself but a good agent will know the differences between all the companies. Not all companies will cover the same doctors, hospitals, dentists and medications. A good medicare agent will be able to find the best plan for you with a little research and they can be a resource for you every year to evaluate the plan changes.
With over 18 years of experience helping seniors get the extra benefits they deserve, I’ve seen firsthand how overwhelming Medicare can be. That’s why working with a knowledgeable agent can make all the difference. Here’s why:
Maximizing Your Benefits – Many seniors miss out on extra help, such as dental, vision, hearing, and even money-saving programs. I specialize in finding benefits you may not know exist.
Simplifying the Process – Medicare is complicated, but I break it down so you can easily understand your options and make confident decisions.
Access to Multiple Plans – Instead of calling different companies, I compare plans for you, ensuring you get the best coverage for your health needs and budget.
No Cost to You – My services are completely free. I’m paid by insurance carriers, so you get expert help at no extra charge.
Year-Round Support – Medicare isn’t just about enrollment. I’m here to assist with claims, plan reviews, and any changes throughout the year.
Avoiding Costly Mistakes – I help seniors avoid penalties, coverage gaps, and expensive surprises by ensuring they enroll correctly and on time.
Peace of Mind – You shouldn’t have to figure this out alone. I make sure you feel confident that your healthcare needs are covered.
As a Medicare Agent, I can help you navigate through all the plans and provide personalized guidance mixed with the local knowledge of the plans and area doctors and services. I can also help you with more specialized needs and make sure that your needs will be met on whatever plan we chose. I will also be there for you 365 days a year as you need me, and I do all of this at no cost to you. Good agents are someone you can turn to with issues or questions as they come up and not just during open enrollment. Customer service is something that I pride myself on being very good at and working with my customers to help them when they need me.
Many people work with an independent broker because they can save you research time by being able to compare several plans side by side. They consider your personal needs, clearly present your options and help you enroll in the plan of your choice. At ABC Medicare Plans Broker we explain all the different parts of Medicare A, B, C and D. We compare a Medicare Advantage Plan to a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) with a drug card. We explain the difference in premium cost and the out-of-pocket potential expenses, the difference in extra benefits and the difference in doctor choice.
There are many Advantages of working with a local agent. Some are if you run into a problem with your plan they can sit down with you and explain what is going on. A local agent is also available to meet you at your home if you don't want to discuss over the phone.
The reason you should work with a Medicare Agent is because when you have a problem you have someone to call, your agent. Your agent should be able answer your questions or find out the answer if they do not know it. With working with an Agent you also get the knowledge that they have about all the different plans, either MEDICARE SUPPLEMENTS or MEDICARE ADVANTAGE. Who wants to know all of that or wants to learn something new at the age of 65? Let a Agent/Broker help you.
This is a great question. As you establish a relationship with your insurance agent, you’ll begin to see why that relationship matters, starting with this: we pick up our phones.
You’ll always know we’ve got your back. We don’t get paid by you—we’re paid by the insurance company. If you call the insurance company directly, you’ll rarely get the same person twice. They all have different training, and unfortunately, they don’t always give you the right answer.
I’ve had to call multiple times myself, sometimes waiting an hour or two, just to get a correct answer. That was back in my early days, and I don’t want you to waste your time like that.
If I don’t answer right away, it’s because I’m either with another client or taking some much-needed personal time. I work hard—Monday through Saturday, and sometimes even on Sundays. While I prefer to reserve Sundays for family, I understand that when a call comes in on a Sunday, it’s usually urgent.
Rest assured, I stay trained and informed. I invest approximately 80 hours a year in certifications and training to keep up with industry changes, so I can serve you better.
A Medicare agent is licensed and appointed with a variety of carriers, not just one company so you can have peace of mind that they will share a plan that works for you.
Professional, unbiased, expert help at no cost. Licensed and co tract with multiple carriers to help you shop for the best plan for all your medical needs.
A Medicare agent has a better understanding of the plans they contract with. The agent receive up-to-date information on changes taking place within the plans and the healthcare industry. These updates give the agent the availability to best advise the client.
Having a Medicare Agent adds another level of protection for you, the Medicare client. Your Medicare Agent should provide you education, guidance and be your Senior advocate for you during your Medicare journey.
The Medicare program can be complicated and confusing. A local Agent can be of great assistance to you in determining what option might be the best fit for your unique needs and monthly budget.
Your local Agent can become your first point of contact for questions regarding plan benefits, claims, Rx costs etc. Better to have a local contact than wait on hold to speak with someone in a call center.
A local Medicare Agent can also assist with annual coverage reviews during the Medicare Annual enrollment period to be certain you're on the right track with coverage for the coming year.
Working with a Medicare agent really saves you time, stress, and potentially a lot of money. We help you compare all your options – original Medicare, advantage plans, Medigap and drug plans – so you don’t miss out on coverage or pay more then you need to. We know the deadlines, the fine print, and how to avoid costly mistakes like late enrollment penalties. Best of all it doesn’t cost you anything extra to get expert guidance tailored to your specific health and financial needs.
Medicare can be very confusing to people. My job is to educate you on how Medicare works and provide you with choices suited to your needs in a way that allows you to make an educated decision. A Medicare agent like myself takes away the frustration and confusion of having to figure it out on your own. I educate you and then walk you through the process step by step. And best of all, I stay with you even after you enroll. When you have questions about your plan, you can call me first. I'm always there to answer your questions.
If you're working with an independent Medicare agent/broker/agency, you'll get an unbiased opinion and be able to look at ALL, or most, product options available to you in multiple markets.
Conversely, if you work directly with a specific carrier agent (often referred to as a "captured agent"), you'll only be pitched - and be able to choose from - that specific insurance carrier's portfolio of products. They're not going to tell you about better priced options from competing carriers.
You want to work with an independent agent/broker so you can get a bigger-picture look at all of the options available to you. It doesn't cost you anything extra to work with an independent agent/broker/agency (you'll get the same products at the same price as if you worked directly with the carrier itself) and you'll often get better service and have a single-point-of-contact when questions or scenarios arise that you may need help navigating.
Independent agents/brokers get paid an ongoing/residual commission by the insurance carriers, so it's very much in the agent/broker's best interest to make sure you're getting your questions answered and your products 'serviced' in a timely manner.
In short...there are no downsides to working with an independent agent/broker/agency...only upsides.
Working with a licensed Medicare agent saves you both time and money. We can quickly narrow down the best plans for your needs, without spending hours researching or calling multiple insurance companies. Additionally, we can help you avoid costly mistakes by avoiding the temptation to "DIY" your Medicare. Our help is completely free, and we are here year-round to support you.
A Medicare broker brings knowledge and experience to work with a prospective client. When I meet a client, the first things I let them know are (1) that there is no cost to work with me, and that (2) I work with all of the carriers in the market and my job is to help them identify a plan or an option that will serve their needs.
I bring nearly 30 years of experience to the table when I am getting to know someone and am extremely familiar with the transition from employer group plans to Medicare. The transition can feel overwhelming and my goal is to always help the consumer feel at ease to make the transition smooth - AND dare I say enjoyable.
Lastly, my hope is to build a lifetime relationship with everyone I work with. I treat each of my clients like they are a my parents, or a close relative and want to build and earn their trust.
Simply put, working with an agent or broker has zero additional cost, however, it allows you to have them search the market each year to make sure you have the complete package you need.
The health insurance field is extremely complex. Health insurance agents provide personalized guidance in helping clients choose a product that best suits their needs. Agents work with many insurance carriers and have in depth knowledge into the products they offer. The selection process is usually quick and easy and clients will have ongoing support.
This one is too easy! You must meet with at least 2-3 agents who will hopefully present a comprehensive review of the tricky and quirky Medicare system. I will tell you that most agents are trustworthy but since we don't know anyone's upbringing, there "could" be crooks among us. Also, you want to be certain that an agent is NOT a "Captive Agent" who only works for one insurance company and therefore, can only concentrate on THAT firm's policies. Moreover, some folks don't trust strangers in their home. Thus, there are times when I do sense that caution and will arrange to meet at a local fast food place where nobody bothers you.
Medicare agents are required to be certified annually in order to provide up to date information necessary for our clients to make informed decisions. In short, we do the heavy lifting on your behalf.
Navigating the world of Medicare is challenging. Enrolling can be difficult, but with guidance, it becomes easier. Working with a Medicare agent can be beneficial because they can help you navigate the complexities of Medicare, compare plans, and find the coverage that best suits your needs and budget, saving you time and effort.
Being knowledgeable about the different types of Medicare plans allows us to be prepared to explain the benefits, coverage, & cost of each one. By assessing your individual health needs, medications, and budget, we can recommend the most suitable plan.
How often do you think things get complicated between healthcare and health insurance? When that happens to you, would you prefer to figure it out alone or would you like some help? How much time do you have to make sure that you fully understand every coverage option and every new piece of legislation that will affect you? Do you see a professional for other complicated things in life?
Agents help you through complicated claims issues when they arise and have full time expertise about Medicare and the available plan options and legislation that will affect you. In most cases, they are paid by your insurance company and cost you nothing extra. Why would you not want an agent?
The reasons an agent is beneficial is To have an advocate on your side to help through the process & keep updated with all the changes every year!! You price & coverage is not affected by that agent and if you enroll from a website you still have an agent that is attached to that website and is getting commissions
This is our job, we work with hundreds of people each year and seasoned agents that do this full time can be an invaluable resource. We study each year to pass the Medicare exam. Then we have to pass each carriers exam. It's not easy! We do the studying so you don't have to.
A Medicare broker does all the foot work to make sure your doctor is in network to make sure your medication’s are covered and most of all if you have any concerns or issues, you can always call your broker to have them resolved the issues. A broker is free of charge. Everyone should utilize a broker.
In my case, I have spent 16 years developing, refining, and learning everything I can about the Medicare program, senior insurance products, and options I can offer my customers. It’s all I do. No home, auto, life, or other insurance products to dilute my time and expertise.
Clients can be overwhelmed by the Medicare Health Insurance Program and all the red tape, working with an Agent who is already is familiar with the Ins and outs allows the customer to relax and trust that the Agent is looking out for their best interest and can hold their hand and walk them through the enrollment process
An experience Medicare agent will be there to help you in times of confusion, help with a claims issue, assist in changing plans during AEP, and answer any questions a client may have when the Member Services department wasn't clear to them. We're local, and most importantly we have a fiduciary responsibility to help all of our clients any time they need us.
I am licensed with most, if not all of the carriers who write policies in my home state. That allows me to match your needs with the policy that best suits YOU, not me. You can’t get that type of service from an agent who only sells with one or a few companies.
You will receive personalized guidance on your Medicare needs. My approach is educational to make sure that you know your options and understand your choices.
I believe it is in everyones best interest to work with a licensed, independent medicare broker. It save you in the following ways:
1. Most Brokers offer multiple Carrier Choices (WE have over 35 Carriers) and most Agents only can show you 1 or two carriers. More Choices, means more options and more options gives you a chance for lower premiums.
2. Brokers work for you and your interests. They are like a Fiduciary vers a Stock Broker, they speak with you, learn about what is important to you regarding your healthcare options, and they put your interests first.
3. Brokers typically have 5-10 years more experrrience than Agents.
4. Brokers will be with you as long as you want them to be. They never charge theirclients a penny, while their clients benefit from their vast kowledge and experience.
The governmental agency, Medicare, does not actually employ licensed insurance agents. Employees of the agency do not assist beneficiaries in selecting the 'right' plan for folks. CAUTION: If someone calls you and says they work for Medicare and want to help you select a plan, hang up the phone immediately! This function can only be administered by licensed insurance agents, who are required to: Bi-annual Continuing Education (24 credit hours, 3 of which must be on Ethics) and Annual Certification and Training on specific plan benefits of all the plans they represent. There are different types of licensed insurance agents: independent self-employed, agency-employed agents, telemarketing firm employed agents and captive agents employed by insurance carriers which are only allowed to represent the carrier they are employed by. While there are certainly 'good' and 'bad' agents in all of these roles, I'd recommend using either of the first two I mentioned. Independent, self-employed agents represent a variety of plans and carriers and can compare 'apples to apples' between the various plans. These agents, such as myself, rely on referrals to build up their business, which means they want to do the best that they can for their clients.
Working with a Medicare agent can be beneficial because they can help you navigate the complexities of Medicare, compare plan & find the best coverage for your needs. They offer personalized guidance, understand local healthcare landscapes, & provide ongoing support, ultimately helping you make informed decisions & save time & money. Here's a more detailed look at the reasons:
1. Expertise and Knowledge: Medicare agents have in-depth knowledge of various Medicare plans, including Original Medicare (Part A & B), Medicare Advantage plans (Part C), & Med Supp policies (Medigap). They are familiar with the local healthcare landscape, including local providers, hospitals & network coverage. They stay updated on changes in Medicare regulations & policies.
2. Personalized Guidance: Medicare agents understand your unique health needs, budget, & preferences. They can help you compare plan options, weigh the pros & cons, & choose the coverage that best suits your situation. They can answer your questions & provide clarification on any aspect of your Medicare coverage.
3. Time & Effort Savings: Navigating Medicare can be time-consuming & overwhelming.
Medicare agents can do the research for you, saving you time & effort. They can help you enroll in the plan of your choice & handle the paperwork.
4. Ongoing Support: Medicare agents are available to answer your questions & provide ongoing support, even after you enroll in a plan. They can help you understand your benefits, file claims, & navigate any issues that may arise. They can help you switch plans during open enrollment or if your needs change.
5. Potential Cost Savings: While agents may receive commissions from insurance companies, their services are typically free to you. They can help you find the most cost-effective plan for your needs, potentially saving you money.
6. Advocate for Your Interests: Medicare agents work in your best interest, helping you find the best coverage & advocate for your needs
they offer personalized guidance, local knowledge, and can help you compare different plan options, ensuring you choose the right coverage for your specific needs. They can also provide ongoing support and connect you with relevant community resources.
Well...I would only recommend working with an INDEPENDENT Medicare agent, and one that you think you can trust. Our services are free and I highly recommend you find an Independent broker that ONLY does Medicare....Medicare has a lot of nuances and I've learned over the years, you can't be an "expert" at everything!
Medicare is a complicated subject. Working with a licensed expert will insure you get all your questions answered and are enrollment is the coverage the best suits your needs
You get to talk to a person face to face, and you can see their honesty. I have been in telesales, and was NOT happy doing it. I feel like I couldn't show my honesty because I couldn't sit down next to you.
Working with a Medicare agent makes the process a lot less confusing. An agent can explain your options in plain language and help you choose a plan that fits your health needs and budget. They stay up to date on changes, so you don’t have to. Agents can also check if your doctors and prescriptions are covered. Best of all, their help is usually free to you. The insurance companies pay them, not you. Having a Medicare agent help you with your elections every year can help you avoid costly mistakes.
Medicare agents go through certifications each year or two to be able to learn the products available so they can help you choose a plan to meet your needs. The only thing I find in the 41 years I have been working with seniors on Medicare Plans is that many agents are out to sell you a plan that makes them the most money. Most younger agents starting out in the business might do that so they can build up their business. If you speak with an experienced agent who has been in the business a long time, will tend to be more straight with you and really show you plans to fit you and your budget and not concerned as much at the commission they will receive as long as they get paid from the carrier. --Gary Haft,
I work to help all qualified Medicare beneficiaries select the correct supplement or Medicare Advantage Plan. This is a no pressure sale as you will select exactly what benefits you
We educate seniors in regards to all their options for Medicare benefits. Accomplish those out any cost or obligations and provide this assistance without any predetermined carrier focus.
A non captive local agent is a wise idea because they can show you the bad and good of every plan available to you and which one suites your specific situation. Also, after working with these companies and our clients we can provide inside tips and help covering the gaps every plan inevitably has.
I would not suggest going with out expert advise, a well qualified agent will be your guide, listen to your story, help you make sense of everything and then find the best outcome for your personal insurance needs. With a Medicare Advantage client, the agent will make sure your doctors and specialist are in network and that your medications are covered on that plan. It's not one size fits all, there are variable factors. When it comes to Medigap insurance there are different options and its best to go over all that with an expert. The goal is to get it done right the first time...one and done.
Min some cases, certain products are only accessible through an agent or broker. The primary reason is for the expertise and ability to shop the landscape of options. For products you could go direct to the company on, there is no difference in cost or benefits to you when using an agent to help facilitate.
Why be limited to one companies plans? As a broker with 11 different companies you get more options ( over 65 plans) based on your priorities NOT limiting you to one company!
We help you at no cost, get the plan and doctors you desire as we maximize your discounts!
For the most part, this is an uncharted territory for people. Walk hand in hand with an expert who has the knowledge? And expertise to guide you. Put them to work for you to get in the answers that you want not just the answers they give you.
Medicare agents help navigate through all the different options available, help stay abreast of rules and regulations and help to alert you of upcoming changes to plans and options.
As a Medicare Agent we are up to date on all the changes for each company that we work with. Advertisements show you the best plans and their features, we have the ability to show you all the specifics of each plan and do a side-to-side comparison so you can make the best choices with your options available. This includes helping to make sure your doctor is in network, your medications are covered or what the cost would be, and if there would be a need for other coverage and what would be available to you.
I always recommend working with a local agent. One you can look in the eye, shake their hand...it tells a lot about that person. Local agents know the plans available in your local area.
The agent is knowledgeable in the policies that govern Medicare, Social Security and Insurance. That expertise is needed to navigate the various products available to meet the needs of seniors.
Medicare agents bring a lot of one on one and face to face to the table to help Seniors. They are very familiar with the local hospital systems, doctors networks as well as pharmacies. You don't have to call a 1-800 call center as you have your personal dedicated agent to take care of you.
When it comes to Medicare, the options can feel overwhelming. Working with a Medicare agent can make the process much easier and more understandable. Here’s why:
1. A Medicare agent can help you understand all the options available and find a plan that best fits your unique healthcare needs and budget.
2. Medicare has a lot of rules and deadlines. An agent keeps you informed about important enrollment periods, helps you avoid costly mistakes, and ensures you’re not missing out on any benefits you’re entitled to.
3. Medicare agents work with a variety of insurance companies. They can show you plans from multiple providers, so you get to compare different options in one place, rather than having to do all the legwork yourself.
4. The Medicare system can be confusing with all its parts and plans. A Medicare agent can simplify things, explain the details clearly, and even assist with paperwork. This saves you time and reduces stress, so you can focus on other important things.
5. Your needs might change over time. Having a Medicare agent means you have someone to call when you need help adjusting your plan, understanding new benefits, or making changes during open enrollment.
6. Medicare agents don’t charge you for their services—they’re compensated by insurance carriers. That means you get expert help at no extra cost to you.
Working with a Medicare agent is about getting the peace of mind that you’re making the best decisions for your healthcare coverage without feeling overwhelmed. It’s like having a knowledgeable guide by your side to help you navigate the Medicare maze!
A trusted Medicare agent can educate you on the different plans available. They can walk you through the process, so you understand and make a valued decision.
First of all, experience. A seasoned Medicare Agent can walk you through several Medicare Supplement plans that fit your needs. Personally picking a plan through an agent can save you money. I recently talked with an 84 year old paying over $320/ month on Plan F
She now pays $216/ month on Plan G. The difference in premium more than covers the Part B deductible and still saves her almost $1000 / year. Medicare Advantage plans work similarly. Finding the right plan and making the right choice is extremely important and partnering with an agent that has your best interest at heart means the world to people.
We feel that every Medicare beneficiary should have an insurance broker who will work with them. There is not a single downside to having a professional help you choose the right product. Brokers work with multiple carriers and can present you with many options. There is no cost to you. We will educate you, answer your questions and assist you with making your decision.
Working with a Medicare agent can be beneficial because they can help you understand the complexities of Medicare and choose the plan that best suits your needs, offering personalized guidance and assistance with navigating the system. Agents can also help you compare different plans, explain coverage options, and ensure you're enrolled correctly, saving you time and effort.
Working with an agent can save you time and headache. They are trained and licensed to understand the moving parts of Medicare which can be confusing. They also can look for the best options for you so you do not have to.
I always suggest working with a licensed Medicare Agent in your area as they have training specific to your location, and expertise on the best options to fit your needs.
Working with an agent gives you someone local that knows your area and the doctors, and which plans they are in network with. Also, an agent gives you someone to call with your questions or any problems you may encounter.
Deciding on the right Medicare Plan can be overwhelming. This is where a licensed Medicare insurance agent becomes invaluable. They bring expertise and personalized service, ensuring you understand your options and choose the right Medicare insurance plan for your needs.
Working with a Medicare Agent is beneficial because they know how to navigate the Medicare maze. Every year Agents are continually educated on every Carrier that they represent in their area. Agents are able to answer your questions, and we make sure you are in the right plan for you and your health.
Working with an agent helps to ensure that you are getting the most up-to-date and accurate information for your specific health insurance needs. As a Medicare agent, I do many hours of certifications each year so that I am completely familiar with the plan options available to my clients, as well as what the network availability looks like. It is my ultimate goal to help you find the plan that best suits your individual needs.
Would it be a bad idea to use the knowledge and experience of a licensed health insurance agent/broker who also has the annual Medicare certifications and insurance carrier trainings? It costs you nothing, but can gain you everything.
Although you may be completely comfortable choosing and self-enrolling into either a Medicare Advantage Plan or Medicare Supplement and Prescription Drug Plan, working with an certified agent/broker might mean the difference of you paying thousands of dollars more during the year by not having the knowledge of how different plans may or may not meet your specific medical needs. Can you afford to choose the wrong plan yourself and have a huge medical bill cause you financial hardship?
There are usually lots of plan options available in your area and a lot of nuances to each plan that an experienced agent would be aware of and be able to go over with you. They can help you narrow down your options and pick the best one for you based off your individual situation. There also is not any additional charge to consult with an agent or enroll in a plan through them so you do not gain anything by enrolling on your own some public site or directly with a carrier.
Utilizing an agent or broker while on Medicare can help you navigate not just the insurance options, but answer other questions pertaining to the process, costs, potential penalties, and more. Your agent should be available to answer questions and support you throughout your time on Medicare, at no cost to you.
A Medical agent will help you find a plan meets your needs the most and maximize the benefits available. And the agent is a great source for Medicare relative questions and matters and easier accessible. Best of all, working with an agent, there is no extra cost, this means you get the same benefits and same costs with or without working with an agent.
Medicare can be very confusing for most people and mistakes can be made. It is always best to work with a seasoned professional insurance agent who can help you navigate the confusing maze of Medicare. Also, we don't charge you the client anything for our consulting services and are paid by the insurance carriers.
Working with a Medicare agent can make things much easier—they help you compare plans, find the best coverage for your needs, and make sure you’re not overpaying. Plus, their help comes at no extra cost to you!
Working with an independent Medicare Agent allows you to get unbiased answers to your questions. I have been helping people with their Medicare options and questions for more than 15 years. Me and my teams job is to be a resource to my clients before, during, and after we help them with their plan options.
As a licensed agent specializing in Medicare, I offer a personal one on one experience. Answering questions in person face to face or over the phone, I am local and work with local individuals to help find the best solutions.
There are several reasons you might want to work with a Medicare agent. The first is probably the most obvious: Medicare is really complex. It has several different parts—most people know about Part A and Part B, but there are also Parts C and D—and a huge number of plans. You cannot get through all of this successfully without some professional help.
Agents serve a second function: they allow for comparisons to be made of the plans offered by the various insurance companies. They help you to see the ways in which the plans differ and are similar in a manner that makes for a more straightforward selection of an appropriate plan. This is no small feat, given that the plans run into the hundreds if not thousands, when one considers all the variations, not to mention the kinds of eliminatory quirks and features that some of the plans have.
Besides, having agents is darn important if you want to avoid penalties for not being covered. Agents make certain that you sign up for the right plans and that you do it on time. They are very supportive and almost always present in your life; in fact, they review your plans annually and with a lot of attention to any changes in your health that might direct you toward a different option in the future. All in all, you are way better off with plans that an agent helps you with.
Additionally, agents help in solving claims and billing issues, acting as arbiters to settle any disagreements that arise between you and your insurance provider. And often, their help comes at no charge to you: they earn their pay from the insurance companies, not from you, so they don't add to the cost of your insurance.
The regulations that oversee Medicare are frequently made to change, and having an agent means you don't have to keep current on those developments; they do that for you. To sum up the pros: you save time, you save some money, you save a fair amount of anxiety, and the way of working with your health coverage is just clearer and less cloudy.
The reason you should work with me as your agent is because I take the guess work out of Medicare. I’m very consultative and can educate you. I take pride in knowing the minutia of it all. Medicare is one of the things I do, but I’m more of about protecting your assets. From health to wealth.

We also work with multiple insurance companies so we can make sure you are getting the best plan with the best benefits for your situation.
Working with a licensed Medicare agent offers more than just help picking a plan — it provides peace of mind. Here’s why:
Trust: A good agent works in your best interest, not the insurance company’s. They build long-term relationships based on honesty, transparency, and dependability — so you always have someone in your corner.
Expertise: Medicare is complex. Between Original Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Supplements, and Part D drug plans — plus the yearly changes — a seasoned agent stays current and cuts through the confusion for you.
Personalized Guidance: Your health needs, medications, and doctors are unique. An agent takes time to understand your situation and recommends plans that fit you — not a one-size-fits-all solution.
Time-Saving: Instead of spending hours researching plans or navigating enrollment forms, your agent does the heavy lifting. That means fewer headaches and less chance of costly mistakes.
No Cost to You: Medicare agents are compensated by the insurance companies, not you. Their help is free — whether you enroll through them or not — so there’s no reason not to take advantage of the support.
Annual Reviews: Your health needs and plan options can change each year. A great agent checks in with you before the Annual Enrollment Period to ensure your coverage still works for you.
Help When You Need It: If a claim gets denied, your doctor switches networks, or you have billing issues — you’re not on your own. You have a trusted professional to call.
Local Knowledge & Carrier Access: Independent agents often represent multiple carriers, so they aren’t tied to just one company. They can compare plans across the board and help you find the best value based on what's available locally.
You want an agent with a primary goal of looking out for your best interest so with that in mind i like to do a need analysis for my client and then inform them of their options. I will make my recommendations but my client will always make the choice. Finally i will always keep my client informed of new options and be available to them.
Working with a Medicare agent is helpful because you are working with an expert who can simplify the enrollment proses form start to finish. An agent who is knowledgeable, can give you the best options, savings and maximization of benefits so you can make the best decisions.
A medicare agent is going to be able to offer more than 1 medicare plan, giving you a larger selection. Allowing to tailor your decision based on your needs whether it be networks, prescriptions or procedures.
A medicare agent can also guide you each year as plans change, giving you the edge as you focus on your health.
It is best to get some advice as to how Medicare works and how it works with a Medicare supplement and Medicare Part D's RX plan. Going over costs, A&B Coverage, deductibles, possible premium increases, etc. Also which carrier to use...the stability of the carrier.
Why is it important to use a Medicare Agent? Because this is one of the most important things you will do before you turn 65. Having the right coverage, being able to see the doctors you want and getting appropriate coverage for your medications and we also know how to get you qualified for any and all benefits you should be receiving.
Agents offer personalized advice, access to multiple plans, and can simplify the Medicare enrollment process. Agents can also help you understand your coverage options, potentially saving you time and money.

Medicare plans can be confusing. Working with a Medicare Agent gives you the ability to find the right plan for your healthcare needs, an agent can give you a thorough analysis of your prior year(s). They can give you a great match for your upcoming year with an easy to understand breakdown of each plan.
Agents are able to answer to your satisfaction any questions that may concern you about the medicare insurance products. If we are not able to answer any question we shall, in a timely manner, get the correct answer for you.
The best reason I can think to work with an insurance agent to navigate your Medicare is that it doesn't cost you anything. You get free advice from an expert in the industry which can help you avoid some of the pitfalls that exist in the Medicare program. An insurance agent can assist you with navigating all the plan options to find the one that works best for your needs and preferences.
Working with a Medicare agent is beneficial because they can help you navigate the complex Medicare system, compare plans, and find the coverage that best suits your needs and budget, often saving you time and money.
Working with a Medicare agent gives you access to the features that the plans offer, someone to explain them to you. It also gives you a resource person if you have any questions any time. Clients will always be able to be informed or clear up any confusions about the plans they choose.
Working with a Medicare agent provides you with expertise and guidance before AND after your enrollment! We must take and pass rigorous training and know the rules of Medicare, and we can guide you for all of your Medicare journey!
When people enroll with an insurance company telesales agent, by mail, or on a website directly with the insurance company and they need assistance or advice, they must use the general company member services for future advice and assistance. Each time they call, they will probably get a different service team agent. While they are helpful and know Medicare rules and their offerings, they don't know YOU and your history. They may not be familiar with YOUR local market and changes to it.
We're here to help you now and when you need us in the future as your Agent of Record.
It good to work with an agent for a couple reason, I would say the number one reason would be to work with a non-captured agent (an agent that works with multiple insurance companies) so you can get a side-by-side comparison of different plans in your area from a non-bias, professional opinion, (2) working with an agent gives you someone to call for any and all questions or concerns, instead of having to navigate on your own, (3) Does not cost any extra to use an agent vs trying to do it on your on.
Medicare can feel confusing and overwhelming, but an experienced agent can make the process simple and stress-free. I’m here to help you figure out what works best for your needs, preferences, and budget, walk you through your options, and answer any questions you might have along the way. My clients know they can rely on me year-round for support, answers, and clarity. Best of all, my assistance is always completely free.
I understand how Medicare and Medicaid work in 14 states. I am disabled and on Medicare, I study and research all new changes and I train every year for the new changes that begin in January of the next year. Only a Medicare Broker would understand all the significant things affecting your Medicare each year.
Working with a good Medicare agent is a great way to make choosing the right plan easier. They can give you expert guidance and personalized recommendations based on your needs. They'll help you figure out the tricky details, save you some cash, make sure you meet all the right deadlines, and be there for you every step of the way. And the best part? Since agents are usually compensated by insurance companies, their services typically come at no extra cost to you. So, when you work with an agent, you can rest assured that you're getting a helping hand to manage your Medicare coverage at no extra cost to you.
What option is most aligned with my current healthcare needs, and does this make sense with what my future self wants? Beneficiaries need to anticipate what their health might look like 3-5 years from now. We don't always know what tomorrow holds, but maybe that surgery you're putting off, or that procedure that needs to be done "at some point", needs to be addressed sooner rather than later. How do these plans, today, support my long term goals?
As a broker that represents all the major carriers in your market, I can advise you which one is best suited for what it is that YOU SPECIFICALLY are trying to achieve. No two people are in the exact same boat, and without somebody to help you navigate the complexities of Medicare, you run the risk of not being enrolled in the plan best tailored to meet your particular needs.
Unbiased information is crutial to make any informed decision, but that information is particularly difficult to obtain when it relates to your Medicare coverage. Shopping tools such as Medicare.gov can be a good place to start, but those tools are based on algorithms designed to give general information to masses of people. You can call each carrier, but they can only discuss their own plans. They are not able to compare themselves to each other.
Work with an independent agent that represents (at a minimum) at least 3 carriers in your area. That agent is able to compare those plans to each other and in theory has no financial incentive to market one of those plans over another.
Questions I would ask any agent before agreeing to work with them:
1 - How many carriers offered in my zip code do you represent? (minimum 3)
2 - Do you represent both Medicare Supplement and also Medicare Advantage plans? (the impartial agent will offer both as options)
3 - How many years have you been certified to market Medicare plans? (the experienced agent will have at least 3 years experience or will be working with a mentor who has at least 5)
4 - If I have an issue and you are on vacation, who do I call? (the well-prepared agent will have an office staff to assist you when they are unavailable).
