That will tell you that they are in network with your carrier. If you type in a name and they are not listed as in network, give their office a call to confirm. The websites are not always the word of truth.

Pro tip: some doctors choose not to appear in the carrier’s online directory even though they still accept the plan. Working with a local Medicare broker can help uncover providers that may be in network but harder to find online.

1. Get in contact with your local broker and they can assist you with finding new doctors in your particular area.
2. Go to your company website and they have an online directory with a list of in network doctors.

You can also ask a preferred location if they have doctors taking new patients that participate in your specific insurance plan.

One, call the Member Services number onthe back of your medical card and ask them for several names and contact information.
A second is to call your local agent and ask for assistance.
Third is to register your online account with your insurance company. There are usually links to find in network professionals and other helpful resources.

I represent UnitedHealthcare here in the Seattle area. UHC contracts with all the major hospitals/clinics along the I-5 corridor except Kaiser which is its own entity. So, all the providers within those contracted hospitals/clinics are covered.

There are a few ways to check.
1. Call the Dr's office and see if they participate in your plan.
2. Call your company directly.
3. Call your local Agent.
Hope this helps.

Most carriers will have a "doctor search" or "find" feature on their website. This is usually quite reliable but may not always be 100% up to date.
Most carriers will also have a printed booklet available that you can request to be sent to you.
Finally, if you call the customer service number on your enrollment card, a customer service specialist can make a few suggestions for local providers.
If there is a provider you would like to see, but you do not find them on the list, call the provider directly and ask. They may bill under the name of a clinic or some professional organization that they are part of. Sometimes, the specific doctor is not listed.

If you're looking at plans for 2026 and thinking of changing insurance companies, you can search provider directories as a guest user (no login required) so you can make sure that all of your current providers are in-network with any plan that you are considering switching to.
If you use a broker or agent, we can also help you with this task and make sure that your current providers are in-network with your plan options for 2026.

Best and easiest thing for you to do would be to reach out to a local agent and just ask. We will be able to email or print off a alphabetical list according to your needs and once.
