I moved to a different county in Illinois. Will I still have the same Medicare Advantage plan choices?

Answered by 2 licensed agents

Not necessarily. Medicare Advantage plans are offered by service area, so moving to a different county in Illinois can change which plans are available to you, even if you stay in the same state. Your move may also qualify you for a Special Enrollment Period to change plans. A local licensed agent can help you compare the Medicare Advantage options available in your new Illinois county.

Each plan has different benefits depending on the county/zip code. We will need more information on the new county to see if your current plan is in that service area. If not, you can do a plan change to a similar plan in the new county/service area.
