A Medicare Supplement insurer can only cancel your policy if you fail to make your premium payments.

Short answer: No—your Medigap (Medicare Supplement) policy is guaranteed renewable.

As long as you keep paying your premium, the insurer cannot cancel you because of your health or claims.

This protection is required by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

Only in rare cases, such as non-payment of premium, falsifying information or if the carrier goes bankrupt.

Your Medicare Supplement Carrier can cancel Your plan for a variety of reasons, 1 non payment of Your premium at 30 days beyond it's premium due date, if for any reason the carrier learned that there was any fraud within the application process they would have the right to cancel Your plan otherwise the only other way that I am aware that they could cancel Your plan would be if they decided to withdraw from the market for the entire state You reside in thus canceling all Medicare Supplement Plans within Your state.

No, a private insurance company cannot cancel your policy as long as you pay your premium.

Policies are guaranteed renewable and cannot be dropped because of health changes.

No. A Medigap (Medicare Supplement) insurer generally cannot cancel your policy as long as you pay your premiums and were truthful on your application. These plans are guaranteed renewable.

In short no because it is guaranteed renewable. However if the carrier goes out of business then you will be able to get a new replacement policy of equal or lesser value then the one you have now.

Only in certain circumstances can a Medicare Supplement insurer cancel your Medigap policy.

-If you fail to pay your monthly premium(s)

-Material misrepresentation/fraud on your application

-Insurer files for bankruptcy

-If you move out of the service area in which the insurer provides coverage

If the insurer files for bankruptcy and you lose coverage through no fault of your own you have 63 days to get a new Medigap policy with guaranteed issue rights meaning no questions asked about health conditions.

They can if they become insolvent and go out of business, otherwise no . If that were to happen you would be granted another guaranteed issue period to enroll into another Medicare Supplement without worrying about health underwriting questions.
