Hi, thanks for watching. We are the husband and wife Medicare team. I'm Steve, and I'm Sue. The question for today is, can a Medicare broker help us find a plan that includes broader chiropractic coverage? Long story short, yes, we can. Different carrier plans offer different types of coverage. Some will be limited to how many visits you can have, while others might be unlimited. But they may have a higher cost to it. We help to work that out with you.

Chiropractic coverage is very limited in Medicare. A broker will be able to help you look at multiple Advantage plans, if there are any in your area with broader coverage, the broker will be able to identify it. However, they tend to cover the same, very limited procedures as Medicare.

Chiropractic services are limited on all Medicare programs. The coverage covers manipulation of the spine only. Depending on the program.

I would always advise consulting a broker when you are unsure of what is covered on the plans you are looking at or wanting to "shop" around as they are usually well versed in the plans in your area.

An insurance agent can help. But the most effective way is to start with the provider and see which plans they accept. And then look for those plans in your local area.

Yes, they can help you find that and more. They should be able to show you the plan or plans that give you exactly what you want and need if it is available in your area. The best place to find what is on a plan is to look through the summary of benefits for that plan. I hope you find what you need

A broker can but I would not base your plan choice on that alone. Most MAPD plans are similar in coverage for Medicare covered Chiropractic and many Chiropractors don't participate in the plans networks but offer discounts to those on Medicare.

Yes, a Medicare broker can absolutely help you find a plan with broader chiropractic coverage. Original Medicare only covers spinal adjustments for subluxation, but some Medicare Advantage plans offer additional benefits — like routine chiropractic visits or related therapies.

A broker can compare plans in your area, explain what’s actually covered, and check if your preferred chiropractor is in-network. They’ll also help you understand things like visit limits, copays, and whether you need prior approval.

Just keep in mind: coverage varies by plan and location, so not all options will include enhanced chiropractic benefits — but a good broker can guide you through what’s available.

Yes, a broker can help you research all available Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage Plans in your area to see which one may have the broadest coverage for chiropractic care.

A couple things to consider when evaluating Medicare Advantage plans for chiropractic services: 1) it’s essential to consider key factors such as coverage options—looking for plans that include not just spinal manipulation but also additional therapies—alongside costs like copayments and coinsurance to find the most affordable options; 2) additionally, ensure the plan has a wide network of chiropractors, and look for any additional benefits, like wellness programs, that can enhance your care.

Finally, researching customer satisfaction ratings and reviews can provide insights into various plans, and a broker can help you check for annual limits on visits or treatments covered.

Given all the above considerations, yes, you should definitely work with a local broker to help you find a plan that has broader chiropractic coverage tailored to your needs.

A Medicare Broker can assist with this. The key way we can help is understanding which carriers place Chiropractic care as a priority. It is not the easiest coverage to navigate and so looking for a broker with experience and a extended list of carriers they work with is critical.

Yes, typically Medicare Part C plans offer these benefits through contracted providers; Medicare Supplement (medigap) plans generally do not unless they offer “extra” or innovative benefits attached to their plans with an additional monthly cost to the plan premium. The assistance of a licensed insurance agent can help you with this at no cost or obligation.

Medicare covers sublaxation of the spine. Some Medicare Advantage plan may offer broader coverage but it is important to make sure your Chiropractor accepts your plan.

Yes and no. It depends on what plan you have and if the plans network has the chiropractic option included. Sometimes there are just some Chiropractic doctors that do not accept Medicare.

Absolutely — that’s one of the best reasons to work with a Medicare broker. Here’s the clear breakdown:

What Original Medicare Covers

Chiropractic: Only manual adjustment of the spine if it’s medically necessary to correct a subluxation.

Nothing else — no exams, no X-rays, no maintenance, no wellness visits.

Where Brokers Can Help

Medicare Advantage plans (Part C): Many carriers add extra chiropractic visits, sometimes unlimited, sometimes capped (e.g., 12–24 visits per year).

Some plans also package chiropractic with acupuncture, massage therapy, or physical therapy as part of a broader wellness benefit.

Brokers can compare side-by-side what each plan in your county offers.

Why It Matters

Coverage for chiropractic beyond the narrow Medicare standard varies wildly by carrier and county.

A broker has access to all those plan details and can pinpoint which ones give you broader chiropractic coverage (without you having to read 200 pages of Evidence of Coverage).

Yes - a Medicare broker can absolutely help you find a plan with a broader chiropractic coverage, especially if you're looking at Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans. These plans vary widely in what they offer beyond Original Medicare, and brokers are trained to compare them based on your specific needs.

Absolutely; we have access to searching any and all specialists, including Chiropractors. I will say, a Chiropractor is commonly a specialist who chooses NOT to take Medicare due to Medicare's limited coverage of their treatment codes. That said, we can certainly help find the ones who do take it.

The individual does need to have Part B which covers medically necessary spinal adjustments only when it comes to chiropractic services. However, if the individual enrolls in the proper Medicare Advantage Plan (Part C), it is possible to receive broader chiropractic coverage with different cost sharing avenues. So, the answer is yes.

That is exactly the type of service that a broker should be able to provide for you. All Advantage plans have to offer at least the same service coverage as original Medicare but many have expanded the benefits.

Yes, a Medicare broker can help you find a plan with broader chiropractic coverage, but Medicare itself limits what gets covered, so the real solution might be more complex.

Original Medicare (Parts A & B) only pays for chiropractic for medically necessary stuff, usually just a handful of visits.

But if you need a lot of adjustments or stuff beyond basic spinal work, plans might fall short.
