Word of mouth, ask family friends, google Medicare Agents in your area, attend seminars to learn more about Medicare and request a consultation from the agent (no cost to you).

Ask a trusted friend or family member, but always check their Google reviews! Reviews can't be taken down by the individual who wrote them.

I recommend reaching out to social media to see if you can get reviews or simply go in and talk to an agent, get a feel for if they will be honest with you and provide you truthful comparisons of not only supplements to MA plans but the Summary of benefits associated with each MA plan

A good Medicare agent should focus on education first, not pressure.

Look for someone who asks about your doctors, prescriptions, and budget, explains your options in plain language, and is available year‑round, not just during enrollment season.

You can check online reviews, ask friends or your pharmacy for referrals, and make sure the agent is licensed in your state and represents multiple plan options, not just one company.”

The best way is to ask someone you know. Find out what they though and if they felt the agent really helped them or just sold them.

It is so important to work with an agent that is a career agent, so many agents capitalize during the major enrollment periods and are never heard from again. I recommend looking at Google Reviews, those are clients that are telling you who is great to work with. Also, brokers can be licensed in multiple states, having someone local is nice but having a great agent it more important! Pepple Insurance is here to help, we are you Medicare Concierge.

To find a trustworthy Medicare agent in your area, try searching your local Facebook groups or NextDoor app for recommendations. Once you find someone that you believe has potential, contact them and set up an appointment (in-person or virtually). If they take the time to educate you (if needed), answer your questions and do not pressure you to make quick decisions about your coverage, you have most likely found your next agent!

I recommend to meet with 2-3 agents who are local to you and see which one is the most comprehensive. Making a medicare decision should involve understanding your lifestyle as a whole and not just a monthly premium or network.
