What is the maximum out-of-pocket limit for Medicare Advantage plans?
Answer: Medicare Advantage plans max out of pocket amounts may vary by product but the hard rule is $9,250 for in network or $13,900 for out of network services.
Can I change my Medicare Part D plan anytime during the year?
Answer: The short answer is no. Switching your drug plan can only be done under these circumstances:
- open enrollment 15 October - December 7
- Special enrollment periods due to:
- moving out of the current plans area
- entering or leaving a nursing home
- losing credible drug coverage
- becoming eligible for low income
subsidy
- you plan went out of business or
stopped serving your area

Are preventative screenings covered by Medicare?
Answer: Yes. Medicare covers screenings like an annual wellness visit. Other screenings include blood pressure , cholesterol, diabetes, colorectal cancer screening, mammograms and bone density testing. Preventative vaccines are also covered under Medicare.
