Q&A with Alexis Pepple

Answer: It is so important to work with an agent that is a career agent, so many agents capitalize during the major enrollment periods and are never heard from again. I recommend looking at Google Reviews, those are clients that are telling you who is great to work with. Also, brokers can be licensed in multiple states, having someone local is nice but having a great agent it more important! Pepple Insurance is here to help, we are you Medicare Concierge.

Answer: That they have to navigate it all on their own. They do not realize that Medicare Brokers, and really good ones, exist. We help them at no cost understand Medicare and find the best plan for them based on their needs. Pepple Insurance is licensed in 40+ states and acts as your Medicare Concierge! Reach out today.

Answer: Staying on an employer plan when they work past 65. I can say that 70% of the time Medicare is a better option compared to an employer plan even if you are going to continue to work. Pepple Insurance can help you compare your employer insurance to Medicare and make the best choice for you.

Answer: Medicare Part B covers doctor visits and any outpatient care. NO Part B is not enough, it is essentially and 80/20 plan Medicare Part B will pick up 80% of your costs of care and you will be left with 20% and there is no limit to that 20% - eeeek, a $100,000 bill would leave you responsible for $20,000. Pepple Insurance is here to help you navigate options to protect you from what Medicare does not cover.

Answer: NO, the headlines are meant to be salacious and scary, that is what sells! As a 10 year agent I am confident I will have a job for many years to come. Industry's have to shift and that is what we are seeing with Medicare, a market shift and that is not always bad.

Answer: Hard to say, this is a case by case basis. Especially when it comes to drug coverage. A good agent at Pepple Insurance will help you look as all of your options and make sure that your current doctors and Medications are covered in the most advantageous way.

Answer: The Medicare Prescription Payment Plan is for those that have expensive medication and want to even out payments over the course of the year. Less than 1% of the Medicare population has utilized the program since it was rolled out in 2025.

Answer: No agent should push you into one type of plan or the other; an agent's role is to be agnostic - we are here to lay out the options - ALL THE OPTIONS - and help you navigate the best choice for you. If you feel that you are not being heard, and you are being pushed into a type of insurance that is not the agent you want to work with. Reach out to Pepple Insurance. We offer education and peace of mind; we never want a client to feel SOLD.

Answer: No, when you enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan (Part C of Medicare) that becomes your primary insurance, your Medicare A & B benefits are administered through the Insurance company that manages your plan, you cannot separate out your Medicare A & B benefits.

This is why it is so important to work with a reputable broker who will make sure your doctors accept the Medicare Advantage plan you enroll in. No need to navigate on your own, reach out to me.

Answer: Yes, with the new $2,000 max out of pocket on prescription medications this should help to minimize your true out of pocket costs for a specialty medication. The $2,000 max out of pocket is counting 3 payors, what you pay, what your insurance plan pays and what the drug manufacturer pays. Once you reach that MOOP your medications will be covered for the rest of the year at 100%.

Answer: Depending on the additional Medicare plan you have you may have some coverage. Medicare Advantage Plans will typically cover ER, Ambulance and Urgent care abroad, while certain Medicare Supplements also have limited coverage abroad.

I recommend to my client to explore Travel Insurance, you can set up an appointment with me to look at options on a trip by trip basis or even an annual basis if you have multiple trips planned.

Happy to help!

Answer: What other coverages can I add on to my Medicare that would protect me from critical illnesses like cancer, heart attack or stroke. Also, how is long term care covered, most people do not realize that long term care is not covered under Medicare.
