Yes it is covered by Part D, you need to see if your plan has it in their formulary, and what tier level it falls

Medicare Part D covers this medication. Many Part D plans have a $615 brand name drug deductible. After this cost, the patient has a copay and the 2026 maximum medications costs is $2100, after this cost is met, covered medications have zero co-pays.

Yes, many Medicare Part D prescription drug plans cover Breztri as a Tier 3 or 4 medication. It is recommended that you go to medicare.gov and use their "Plan Finder" tool to find out which plans cover the drug. It mostly depends on your zip code but make sure you have a Part D plan first. Many of the Part D prescription drug plans feature $ 0 (zero) monthly plan premiums now. Don't want to horse around? Contact your friendly, local Medicare insurance agent. Yes, Medicare covers Breztri, but it dependes on what drug plan you have, or what Advantage Plan you have. Some plans cover it some do not. You need to check each plan to see if it is covered.

If it is a prescription you would have to have a Part D drug plan. Or it may not cover it. You can check on Medicare.gov and put the name in and it should show if it is covered on a plan or not.

Yes, Breztri is a covered Part D prescription drug medication. Generally a Tier 3 and would have a co-pay and potentially subject to the annual deductible. It might require a prior authorization.

Yes, Medicare can cover Breztri Aerosphere, but coverage depends on your specific Medicare Part D or Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) plan. Breztri is not covered by Original Medicare (Parts A & B), but it is typically included in the formulary of many Part D and MAPD plans.

That would be Part D and you need to check with your prescription drug provider. Look up the prescription drug providers to see who would cover.

Medicare does not cover any Medications unless they fall under Part B. Drug plans cover your medications. You will need to contact your Part D provider to determine if that drug is on the formulary. If it is not, you may request (through your doctor) an exception request to have a medication covered that is not on the formulary.

Yes — many Medicare Part D and Medicare Advantage plans do cover Breztri.

Coverage and cost depend entirely on the plan’s formulary tier, so your copay can vary a lot.

It’s usually a Part D drug.

Some plans put it on a higher tier, which means a higher copay.

Most plans don’t require prior authorization, but some may have limits (quantity limits, step therapy).

AstraZeneca’s $35 cap does NOT apply to Medicare, but you may qualify for their AZ&Me assistance program.

Bottom line: Breztri is generally covered, but what you pay depends on your specific plan. I can check your ZIP code to see which plans in your area cover it the best.

Yes, Medicare may cover Breztri, as it is often covered by Medicare Part D and Medicare Advantage plans for COPD.

However, coverage and your out-of-pocket cost depend on your specific plan's formulary (drug list).

Some plans might require prior authorization or have other restrictions, and your final cost will vary based on the plan and whether you meet your deductible.

Medicare only covers certain vaccinations, and a few other drugs for cancer. Breztri would be covered under a prescription drug plan and all plans are different. The plans would need to be checked to see if any cover this drug.

Yes — BREZTRI Aerosphere may be covered under Medicare, but coverage and cost depend on the specific plan.

Key points:

About 87% of Medicare Part D plans list the drug on their formulary.

According to the manufacturer, 81% of Medicare Part D patients pay $50 or less per month for BREZTRI.

Coverage isn’t guaranteed; it depends on the plan’s formulary, tier placement, and whether prior authorization or step therapy applies.

It helps to have an appointed Medicare agent to assist you in comparing plans that would cover any prescriptions and keep you up to date with yearly plan changes and updates

• According to a formulary & coverage-info page from the manufacturer (AstraZeneca), for Medicare Part D plans the drug is covered without prior authorization in about 8 out of 10 (i.e., ~80%) of cases.

• They also say that for Medicare Part D enrollees, about 81% pay $50 or less per month out-of-pocket for BREZTRI.

• Another source states: “Medicare drug plans may cover inhaler drugs for COPD including BREZTRI, but there is no nationwide guarantee of coverage — it depends on the plan’s formulary.”

• For example, one drug-cost tracking site says ~87% of Medicare prescription-drug plans list BREZTRI, but cost‐sharing and tier placement vary widely.

⚠️ Important considerations & conditions

• Which plan? Coverage typically falls under a Medicare Part D prescription-drug plan or a Medicare Advantage plan that includes drug coverage (MAPD).

• Formulary placement & tier: Even if the drug is on the formulary, it may be placed on a higher tier (i.e., higher copay/coinsurance) or require prior authorization/step therapy.

• Out-of-pocket cost: While ~$50/month is cited as an average for many Medicare enrollees, some plans could have higher copays depending on tier, deductible, coverage gap, etc.

• Nebulizers vs inhalers: This drug is an inhaler. According to one guide, inhalers are generally covered under Part D, whereas nebulized medications may sometimes fall under Part B.

• State/plan variations: Because each plan sets its own formulary and benefit design, whether BREZTRI is covered and at what cost can vary by state, by plan, and by year.

• Savings programs: Although there are savings/assistance programs via AstraZeneca for BREZTRI, many of those do not apply to Medicare beneficiaries in the same way they do for commercial insurance.

🔍 What you (or your patient) should check

• Look at the formulary/drug list of the specific Medicare Part D or Medicare Advantage plan to see if BREZTRI is included.

• Check what tier it’s on (B

No, Medicare itself does not cover any medications that you would get from a pharmacy.

Prescription coverage is through a Medicare plan such as a Prescription Drug Plan (AKA Part D plan) or most Medicare Advantage plans. These plans are issued by insurance carriers and each plan is very different.

I recommend talking with an agent/broker who will make sure you choose a Medicare plan available to you that covers Breztri well (along with any other medications).

It depends on the company and the specific type of plan you have. Each company have its own formulary, which is a listing of all the drugs covered. In searching for a plan, you would look at each company's formulary list and see if it is covered. Also, if it IS covered, you would want to look at how much is covered. You may be able to save by using preferred pharmacies and networks.

Talk to you trusted Medicare agent and they can do the research for you!

Breztri, a prescription inhaler, is covered by insurance when prescribed for approved conditions, such as COPD maintenance.

Most Medicare and Part D plans list Breztri on their formulary, but whether or not YOUR particular plan includes this coverage and at what price should be researched. Some plans show Breztri at different pricing levels, and some plans may require prior approval.

It appears that about 80% of formularies do not require prior approval. You can check your specifics at Medicare Plan Finder on Medicare.gov and enter “Breztri Aerosphere” to see if your current Part D plan covers it and what the tier/copay is.
