Healthcare’s biggest digital shift will be meeting patients where they already are—mainly through simple, text-based communication instead of clunky portals.

AI will quietly handle intake, triage, and follow-ups so patients get faster, clearer answers without waiting weeks or playing phone tag.

Care will move from occasional office visits to ongoing, between-visit engagement, especially for chronic conditions.

There are many hurdles to overcome. One is technical ability and how comfortable individual's are with using a cell phone or tablet.

Another is high speed internet connectivity or availability.

Another is the availability of qualified and educated agent assistance.

and finally, increasing general confidence in the information being disseminated. Currently there is far to much misinformation from national telephone centers who lie, beguile, misinform and abuse communications with clients.

Find a trustworthy local agent to build a relationship with over time.

The biggest impact will come from advanced AI and personalized digital tools, which will move beyond simple scheduling and information access to proactively predict patient needs, provide personalized care recommendations, and facilitate seamless communication and remote monitoring. This will transform patient engagement from a reactive model to a proactive, personalized, and continuous one, with patients managing more of their care at home.

The biggest impacts will likely be in the areas of AI and remote patient monitoring, driven by the need for more efficient and personalized care. Healthcare will see greater use of AI for decision making support and patient communication, while remote patient monitoring (RPM) will become more integrated into chronic disease management, supported by wearable devices and the expansion of virtual care

In my opinion healthcare is big and complicated with lots of moving parts. Even with digital information in place, most people will pick plans based on who has the lowest premium without any idea how the plan works or even if your doctor accepts the plan. You don't have to pay a broker to shop for you to help find the best plan for you. You can't replace the value of an in person consultation.

Integration of AI. There are devices that give real time monitoring that will provide immediate information regarding a potential issue that may turn into a health crisis. This is proactive and preventative care at it's finest which will lead to a more engaged and personalized patient experience.
