I have a Humana Medicare Advantage plan in Illinois. How do I know if my plan will still be available next year?
Answered by 3 licensed agents
Humana Medicare Advantage plan availability can change from year to year, including in Illinois. Check the Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) Humana sends you in the fall, which will explain changes to your coverage and costs; if your plan is being discontinued, you should receive a non-renewal notice. A local licensed agent can also review your specific Humana plan and compare the options available in your Illinois county for next year.
Around this time of year, you will be receiving an Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) letter from Humana. Do not throw this piece of Medicare mail away! Your ANOC will let you know what changes to expect for your plan for 2027. If the plan is being terminated, you should be notified in the ANOC. If you do not receive or misplace your ANOC, you can call your Medicare agent or Humana member services after October 1st and they can update you on your plans status for 2027.
You should receive your ANOC (Annual Notice of Changes) letter by the first week of October. If your plan will not be renewed for 2027 you will know by reading the ANOC. It is imperative that you reach out to an agent if this is the case. Humana already announce that there will be over 600,000 Medicare Advantage terminations nationwide.
