Agents should not be charging the client or Medicare enrollee at all. Medicare agents are paid by the insurance companies to help seniors enroll in the plan that is right for the Medicare enrollee.

Generally agents are paid commissions for enrolling clients into plans and do not charge clients for their services. The difference could be if you work for an insurance advisor. You can earn commissions or charge for advice but you can’t do both.

It is illegal, not to mention unethical, for Agents to charge for enrolling someone,

as they are paid to do this by the Carriers.

Licensed Medicare agents who I certified to and roll people in the available Medicare advantage and supplement plans in their state should not be charging the Medicare beneficiary any fees for doing the enrollment. Rather they are paid by the plan carriers when an enrollment is processed through them.

Agents are not allowed to charge beneficiaries a fee of any kind. We are compensated by the insurance companies for enrollment in their plan. It is illegal for an agent to charge a fee & violates CMS rules. This isn't specific to any specific state, this is a federal rule.

Agents don't charge a fee to help clients enroll in a Medicare Supplement or Medicare Advantage plan. The company you choose will pay a commission for helping you enroll and providing service.

Greetings!

Agents typically do not charge you a fee to help enroll in Medicare. Licensed Medicare agents and brokers are paid by the insurance company if you enroll in a plan, and their commission is regulated and built into the plan’s premium. That means you pay the same premium whether you use an agent or enroll directly with the insurance carrier. There is no additional cost for their assistance. An agent can help you compare plan options, review provider networks, check prescription drug coverage, and complete enrollment paperwork to ensure your coverage starts on time and fits your needs.

Agents don’t charge anything to help you enroll in Medicare. You never pay a fee for their time, guidance, or support.

Instead, agents are paid by the insurance companies. When someone enrolls in a plan, the carrier pays the agent a set commission (built into the plan — it doesn’t raise your price). The premium you pay is the same whether you enroll on your own or use an agent.

So you get the help for free, and the agent gets paid by the insurance company, not by you.

Medicare agents or brokers do not charge the clients a fee for reviewing your options or helping you enroll. Financial advisors or consultants typically charge $100-300/hr or a flat rate fee. Be sure to reach out to a Medicare agent as we're paid by the carriers or programs!

Agents do not and cannot charge to help clients to enroll. Agents are compensated by the company in which they are enrolling the client, so the clients never have to worry about coming out of their pockets upon enrollment. Clients just pay their monthly premium.

AGENTS DO NOT CHARGE TO HELP CLIENTS ENROLL. There are not extra costs added to a plan or no hidden charges. The cost of each individual plan is the same across all platforms. Having a personal agent that you can trust just makes it easier for seniors to call and talk to the same person all year long regarding their plan.

There is absolutely no cost to you for my services. As an independent Medicare advisor, I help seniors compare plans, understand their Medicare options, and enroll in coverage that best fits their healthcare needs and budget. I am compensated by the insurance company, so you pay the same premium whether you enroll directly with the carrier or work with me.

My commitment doesn't end after enrollment. I provide ongoing support throughout the year, helping with plan reviews, coverage questions, prescription drug concerns, and navigating Medicare changes. My goal is to serve as a trusted resource and advocate for my clients with honesty, integrity, and personalized service.
