How do you educate clients who are completely new to Medicare?
Answer: First, I have to listen to their immediate healthcare needs. Then, I carefully and kindly walk them through the process step by step. I explain and compare all the plans which meet the needs of the client. After that, the client will have all the pertinent information to make an informed decision.
Why might Original Medicare with a Part D plan be better than a Medicare Advantage plan for frequent travelers?
Answer: With Original Medicare, you may go to any facility that accepts Medicare. With a Medicare Advantage Plan, you may be limited to facilities outside of your service area.
What's one piece of advice you wish every senior knew before picking a Medicare plan?
Answer: Call a licensed agent who will educate you on the two Medicare paths you can choose from (Original Medicare or Medicare Advantage. Then, the agent will explain your options based on your needs and budget.
What is the biggest mistake seniors make when enrolling in Medicare?
Answer: Not going through the process with a licensed agent. The process is a maze of unfamiliar nuances, which are difficult and frustrating to navigate without an agent by your side to enable you to make an informed decision.
