Q&A with Daniel Salzman
How do Social Security and Medicare work together for people with disabilities?
Answer: If you become disabled and qualify for social security disability and are under 65 you automatically get Medicare two years after the first month of your social security check.
Can you change Medicare Supplement plans at any time?
Answer: No, If you want a Medicare supplement the best time to get it is during your IEP, that means when you are turning 65 for the first time. You have a seven month window to get it. When you get it during this time you do not need a underwriting to get approved . if you want to switch you can during your first year at any time but after that you will need to pas underwriting every time you want to change. If you have a new illness and really do not like your supplement, then it may be worth exploring Advantage plans.

Answer: It all depends if the employer coverage is creditable. Part A is usually free if your worked a set amount of years. You should definitely get part A. When turning 65 and still working you should find out if your employer coverage is creditable for part B. If it is great if not then don’t wait when you turn 65 enroll in part a and b
What should I do if I find out that my preferred hospital isn't in-network with my Medicare Advantage plan?
Answer: The good news is a lot of Medicare advantage plans are PPO’s and you can go in or out of network. The issue should have been handled when you initially signed up for Medicare. I run a Dr and hospital search to make sure these issues do not pop up down the road.
What do you like most about being a Medicare agent?
Answer: Selling Medicare connects me with some of the nicest people in the United States. No need to be a used car salesman when it comes to the Medicare population. Americans turning 65 eligible for Medicare are always hard working and earned the right to qualify for this service. I get to become a teacher and teach these clients the best path for all their Medicare needs
