What do you enjoy most about working with Medicare clients?

Answer: It is rewarding to assist seniors, or qualified individuals under age 65, with navigating Medicare. I enjoy providing clients with essential information on Social Security and Medicare basics. Establishing this foundation makes it easier for clients to understand their options. My approach is to serve client's unique needs to select plans tailored to their requirements.

Information, education, resources, guidance and service make up the building blocks for an agent to serve Medicare clients. They rely on us for Medicare and health plan updates, and when to consider making changes. It is important to schedule annual reviews with clients to assure optimum coverage, as insurance plans and premiums change from year-to-year.

Essentially, for me, offering services that are needed by others is fulfilling.

Do IRA or 401(k) withdrawals increase Medicare costs?

Answer: How much and when you take an IRA or 401(k) withdrawal, your Medicare premium may increase. Your health insurance agent may provide basic guidelines. Depending on your income, a conversation with a tax professional may be in order.

I'm turning 65 next month and the amount of Medicare mail I'm getting is overwhelming. How do I sort through all this?

Answer: Understanding the basics of Medicare requires a foundation of how it interfaces with Social Security. First, if you haven't already done so, go to Medicare.gov and do some initial research.

What do you like most about being a Medicare agent?

Answer: I like to provide information on the A, B, C and D’s of Medicare prior to reviewing health care plans. It is rewarding to then see clients use that information to select plans that best suit their needs.
