Answer: Your Medicare deductible reset in January because it works on a calendar year basis- January 1 till December 31st. Nothing will carry over at this time. This will include your prescription drugs as well.

What is the Medicare Advantage 3 midnight rule?
Answer: You need to have a medically necessary inpatient hospital stay of three consecutive midnights before Medicare Part A will cover services in a Skilled Nursing Facility.

I applied for a Medigap plan and got denied because of my health history-how is that even legal when I've paid into Medicare for years?
Answer: It might depend on the timing of when you are trying to apply for Medigap. There is a timeline when you can apply without getting denied. Contact a trusted Broker to go over what you need and what is available.
I'm worried about choosing the wrong plan and being stuck with it. How often can I change my Medicare coverage?
Answer: Understandable why you would feel being stuck with a Medicare plan. My suggest would be to call a trusted Broker, who can review options that would fit your needs best. To answer your question, if you are in the correct plan there should not be a need to change coverage.

Answer: That would depend on what your spouse employers plan, meaning is he with a group that has less than 20 employees? I would suggest getting in touch with a trusted Broker to ask questions to see what your options are.

Answer: That is a great question at this time with all the information coming out. Depending on what your needs are would determine which plan would best fit your needs.
