Q&A with Tom Goldtrap

How has telemedicine enhanced personalized healthcare?

Answer: Telemedicine is very useful, primarily if a person becomes ill and it’s not serious enough to go to urgent care or the emergency room. If such an issue happens during your pcp’s closing hours, telemedicine is a viable option as you will be seen virtually by a qualified medical professional who can diagnose your condition and send medication to your pharmacy as well as advise you

In NC, I’m on my husband’s active employer plan with 20+ employees. Since it’s credible coverage, can I delay Medicare, including Part D?

Answer: You can delay Medicare part B since you have creditable coverage and will not be subject to a penalty.

I would suggest you go ahead and enroll in Medicare part A because there is no premium for most people and it will coordinate with your other coverage.

What are the reasons why I should work with a Medicare agent?

Answer: A Medicare Agent will ask you which Doctors, Hospitals, and prescription medications you use and shop the plans to ensure that all of these are covered.

They will then go over the plans with you and give you all of the information and answer all of your questions so you can feel assured you are enrolling in the very best plan for you and/or your spouse.

And they do all of this work for you for no charge.
