Q&A with Ceranes Lejulus
What do you like most about being a Medicare agent?
Answer: Honestly, what I love most about being a Medicare agent is just being able to help people make sense of it all. Medicare can get super confusing, and I really enjoy breaking it down in a way that makes people feel comfortable and confident in their decisions. It’s not just about signing someone up and moving on—it’s about being there long-term, answering questions, checking in, and making sure they’re always in a good spot with their coverage. I really like building those relationships and being someone they can rely on."
What's the most frustrating misconception you have to clear up with clients about Medicare every year?
Answer: Hmmm, let's see.... I think the most misconception clients have is that they think Medicare covers everything. I regularly have to educate that the Medicare was never designed to pay for everything. It's my job to try to minimize those out-of-pocket costs as much as possible.
I'm on an expensive specialty medication. Will the 2025 Part D changes help someone in my situation?
Answer: The 2025 Part D changes are likely to help with the specialty medication. Primarily, there is Medicare Prescription Payment Plan --- which is a voluntary payment option for managing out-of-pocket prescription drug costs, allowing a beneficiaries to spread payments across the year instead of paying the pharmacy directly.
Secondly, beneficiaries no longer have to deal with the donut hold / coverage gap... which is a sigh of relieve for many beneficiaries.

I'm healthy and barely use my coverage, but I'm still paying more every year. Why isn't there a discount for people like me?
Answer: Can you share a bit more information? Are you saying you're paying more in premiums or copays? --- we probably would need a bit more information. But generally, if you're more in premiums, you're probably have a supplement plan. Carriers that offer supplement plans usually have rate increases every year. You may have some options at your disposal, but we would need additional information.
