How long does it take to get Medicare Part B after applying?
Answer: Part B is handled through Social Security and can typically take around 2 to 6 weeks, but processing times can vary. I always recommend applying as soon as you're eligible- 3 months before your 65th birthday, to give Social Security plenty of time to process your application.

You’ll just need to update your address with your insurance company and your premium could change depending on your new location. However, if you have a Part D Prescription Drug Plan or a Medicare Advantage Plan, those plans would need to be updated as they are based on your zip code.
