Q&A with Brittany Hankins
I just moved from New York to Florida and have Original Medicare with a New York Medigap plan. Do I need to change my coverage?
Answer: Hi! If you have a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) policy, you can usually keep your same Medigap plan. You’ll just need to update your address with your insurance company and your premium could change depending on your new location. However, if you have a Part D Prescription Drug Plan or a Medicare Advantage Plan, those plans would need to be updated as they are based on your zip code.
