Answer: Provider contracts can change throughout the year. This is why a provider may have been in network when you enrolled into the plan and then out of network after.

Answer: Medicare seminars are a good way to get your questions answered. There is no obligation to enroll in a plan at the seminar nor do you have to give anyone your contact information. The choice is always up to you.

Answer: The biggest disadvantage is you have to follow the rules of the plan. Sometimes you have to get prior authorization for certain procedures. You also may have to use providers who participate with the plan.

Answer: Generally a person would pay 20% of the Medicare approved amount and the Part B deductible applies for mental health care services.
