Q&A with Rob Myers

What do you like most about being a Medicare agent?

Answer: Helping people, find the best plan to cover all their prescriptions and doctors that they like to use. Everyday is different. You meet people from all walks of life.

Should there be stricter regulations on Medicare Advantage marketing and sales practices?

Answer: Yes, for the simple fact a lot of seniors don’t know who is on the other end of the calls they get bombarded with. It’s important to use someone who’s knowledgeable and trusted.

My diabetes medication is super expensive, and I've heard horror stories about Part D not covering what people need. Should I go standalone Part D or get it through a Medicare Advantage plan?

Answer: Regardless if you got with a MA or Part D standalone, it’s important to do your due diligence and have a licensed broker check what plans cover your prescription needs. For 2025 the maximum amount someone can spend of prescriptions is 2,000. Many companies already cover insulin at 35 dollar a month copays.
