What do you like most about being a Medicare agent?
Answer: I like to help people understand the benefits that come with the Medicare Program they are a part of. I also like to help them understand that these companies change their benefits every year and they should check there plan every year in oct.
Are Medicare Advantage plans really "free," or is that just clever marketing?
Answer: Medicare advantage plans, most have a zero premium, or no monthly cost. Most plans come with co-pays and coinsurance. So, they are some out of pocket cost. Which does not make them Free.
Tell me about a time you had to fight through the appeals process to secure coverage for a client—what was on the line and how did it resolve?
Answer: I have not really had to go through an appeals process. Most of the time the customer did not understand the charge they recieved.
Can Medicare cover wearable medical devices like insulin pumps or seizure monitors for chronic conditions?
Answer: Medicare does cover some of these items, usually at a 20% coinsurance for the client. Many of the Medicare Advantage plans companies will also supply these items.
Can Medicare help cover in-home care for dementia patients who wander or need supervision 24/7?
Answer: Medicare does not usually cover this home health care. This would fall under long term care. Medicare is health insurance and not convulsant care.
