Q&A with Mitchell Nunn

Answer: I love that I am able to help people everyday in such a unique way. I get the opportunity to break down such a complex subject and help people to understand what their full suite of options are. I am also able to then connect them with the healthcare and facilities that they need. What is better than that?

Answer: The national network of Medicare is the greatest benefit of Original Medicare. People don’t realize this until you really need to go to a specific well known specialist, but when it comes down to the wire you want to be able to go wherever you can to receive the best care.

Answer: I believe that for convenience the G plan is the best option because the only responsibility you have other than your premium is that part B deductible. I love it when my clients receive statements from the doctor or facility that say “This is not a bill”

Answer: I’ve seen many seniors also keep a hold of discount cards in addition to their part D plan card. In some situations the discount cards can help to provide a more reasonable price for some medications.

Answer: You need to be sure what type of plan that you have. It’s possible that you do not have the same type of plan as your friend. Another possibility is an error in billing.

Answer: One option is to meet with a licensed agent that represents multiple plans. Another option is to visit Medicare.gov to confirm costs.

Answer: I always tell clients the same thing…. COMPARE . Take this opportunity to compare between part d plans and Medicare Advantage and see which one will cover your specific diabetes medicine better.

Answer: Always compare the options in front of you. I would look at a standalone dental plan vs a Medicare Advantage plan and see which one makes the most sense in your specific situation.

Answer: There are a lot more seniors that will be coming in to Medicare in the next few years. I believe if we all continue to take the time to look at the options in front of us and continue to make great decisions on which route to go we can all navigate this together.

Answer: Credible coverage typically applies when someone is delaying part b and staying on group insurance. In order to avoid a late enrollment penalty that other coverage must meet certain minimum criteria to be considered “ credible” .

Answer: Typically a broker is an agent that is more independent and represents a large number of companies where as an agent is typically only representing one company.

Answer: Medicare, like many other things in retirement, is not a one size fits all solution. Each person needs to look at their specific situation and the ALL the options available in order to make the best decision for them and their family.

Answer: Yes actually you can be denied a medicare supplement. There are certain times though where that you are able to get around that.

Answer: Whether or not to pay a premium for a medicare supplement is based on each person’s unique situation. There are many benefits to having a medicare supplement like network freedom, extensive coverage, and up front known costs versus the question mark that some other coverages provide when it comes to costs that will be incurred.

Answer: Life insurance is a great tool that can be used for legacy planning. When leaving a legacy there are many factors like taxes, debts outstanding, and missing out on income. Life insurance can be a great tool to solve some of these problems.
