Matt Rolph, Medicare Insurance Agent
About Me
I grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana and have lived in the southern California region since 2003. I have one teenage son who really enjoys playing basketball and keeping me busy! I love the ocean and all things in and on the water including sailing. Before my career started in insurance I was a personal fitness trainer and gym owner for 12 years. The transition from fitness coach to insurance agent may seem very different but in a lot ways they have a similar goal-maintaining and optimizing ones health.
I got started in the insurance business in 2022 through a friend of mine who has a long career in this industry specializing his business in Medicare. He has been excellent mentor and I am extremely grateful to work alongside him.
What I like most about the Medicare business is meeting people and helping them with a very important issue with their health. I find this work to be very rewarding and feel fortunate to be involved in this area of insurance.
Q&A with Matt Rolph
How will advancements in wearable health tech (like smartwatches) integrate with Medicare?
Answer: Wearable health tech, like smartwatches, could tie into Medicare by supporting things like remote monitoring and chronic care management. If the devices are medically necessary and approved, they might help track health in real-time and qualify for coverage under certain Medicare programs.
