I am so grateful for the help Joseph DeBlasio provided as I navigated making important decisions setting up new healthcare and choosing the right Medicare plan in a new state. He took the time to explain all of the choices available based on my personal situation and what I was looking for as we compared plans. Additionally, he went above and beyond answering questions about finding doctors, suggesting a website where I can find highly rated doctors that shows their appointment availability. Joseph listened to my questions and even helped me get the appointment at the DMV location that made sense geographically so that I can get my new drivers license - things that are challenging after a cross country move. What is the biggest mistake seniors make when enrolling in Medicare?
Answer: Not properly understanding the enrollment periods and when you can and cannot sign up for original Medicare. This can lead to many issues, some of which include having a gap in health insurance coverage and having to pay late enrollment penalties.
What do you like most about being a Medicare agent?
Answer: The ability to help my clients make informed decisions about their healthcare insurance. Too many times, I have seen someone who was not informed about their choices, that made a decision that negatively impacts their livelihood in retirement.
