John Glau, Medicare Insurance Broker
About Me
Greetings! My name is John Glau. I've lived on California’s Central Coast my entire life. My Great-Great Grandparents settled in Lockwood, CA, just north of Paso Robles in 1881. I was raised on a farm outside of Greenfield in southern Monterey County. In 1983 my wife, Susan and I moved to San Luis Obispo to attend Cal Poly, then settled our family in Paso Robles. We have four children (three daughters and a son, all married to wonderful people), and 9 grandchildren (five girls and four boys) and are blessed that they all still live on the Central Coast.
My first career was as a Deputy Sheriff in San Luis Obispo County, then became a private investigator after retiring from the Sheriff’s Department in 2004. After helping people for over 30 years as a Deputy Sheriff and private investigator, I decided I wanted to help people in other areas. I began looking at our health insurance system for both Medicare and for those under 65 who did not receive health insurance through their or their spouse’s employer. I discovered how complex our healthcare system is to navigate. I saw people paying hundreds to thousands of dollars per year more than was necessary for their needs, with a policy that didn't fit them. I decided to become an independent insurance agent to help people choose the best policy for them, at the lowest possible price.
