Answer: Where do i start the process? Will Medicare provide me with the coverage I may need if I get sick and or have health issues. Can an agent explain Medicare so I understand it clearly?

What's the most frustrating misconception you have to clear up with clients about Medicare every year?

Answer: That the deductible for certain drugs starts over Jan 1. They think they need to renew every year, and they get reallly nervous. I am always happy to explain how it works.

I'm still working at 67, and I don't know if I need Part B. Why is something so basic so hard to figure out?

Answer: You will need a part B plan only if you are not under employer coverage that includes a perscription drug plan. When you decide to retire and get off of their group plan, you can apply for part B. Then get on A Medicare advanatge plan that includes a drug plan. Or you cxan chose a Medicare Supplement plan and get a stand along PDP.

Am I eligible for a Special Enrollment Period if I lose employer coverage?

Answer: Yes you are. It’s loss of group coverage .

It’s a special enrollment period for people who are retiring and losing group coverage.

What's your go-to strategy for helping someone decide between Medicare Advantage and Medigap?

Answer: My go to strategy is to show the difference between the 2 plans. making sure the client understands how they differ in each coverage. Then helping them break down what their personal needs are, and answering all questions they have. From there they can decide what works best for the healthcare needs.

Is Original Medicare or Medicare Advantage better? Why do you recommend one over the other?

Answer: Original Midicare is wonderful to cover 80percent of your healthcare costs. Then you are responsible for 20percent. The Advantage plan is the 20 percent taht Original medicare does not cover. You will ahve co pays and a max out of pocket, but it helps with the 20 percent.
