Jay was born in Iowa City, raised in a small town called What Cheer, and currently resides in Marengo with his wife and three sons. He loves spending time with his family and friends outdoors, whether it's camping, kayaking, hiking, or fishing. Jay also enjoys watching sports and is a lifelong Hawkeye fan.
