Q&A with Jamie Frank

What do you like most about being a Medicare agent?

Answer: I have clients all over the state of Michigan. I look forward to helping you with your Medicare needs.

Should Medicare cover dental, vision, and hearing, or would that just make it more expensive for everyone?

Answer: I would love to see Medicare coverage for these things. Unfortunately, I am sure it would raise prices.

Can I use a health savings account (HSA) to pay Medicare premiums after I retire?

Answer: Funds in an HSA can pay for some Medicare expenses, including your Medicare and Medicare Advantage plan premiums, deductibles, copays and coinsurance. Keep in mind, money in an HSA fund cannot be used to pay for Medigap premiums.

Isn't it concerning that Medicare Advantage plans are taking over the system?

Answer: Take Control & Make Sure You Have The Best Medicare Plan For You & Your Family. Medicare Advantage Plans really work for a lot of my clients.

I'm worried about affording my medications even with the 2025 changes. Are there additional assistance programs I should know about?

Answer: Yes, even with the $2,000 out-of-pocket cap on Medicare Part D in 2025, there are additional assistance programs that can help seniors afford their medications.

Extra Help (Low-Income Subsidy), State Pharmaceutical Assistance Programs, patient assistance programs from drug manufacturers, and websites like GoodRx for discounts. You can also discuss cheaper alternatives with your doctor.
