Answer: Work with an independent agent and have them shop for a plan/s that includes her doctors and prescriptions.

How can I get dental and vision coverage with Medicare?

Answer: You can find a Medicare advantage plan that offers dental and vision or you could buy a standalone plan.

I've been on a Part D plan for a while, and I'm wondering why my generic prescriptions suddenly cost more. Did something change?

Answer: Do you mean since January because co-pays vary from carrier to carrier. So if you’re on a different drug plan, then you were last year your co-pay may be different for each tier.

Does Medicare cover weight-loss programs or bariatric surgery if I’m classified as obese?

Answer: It depends on the formulary for your drug plan and your diagnosis. They do not cover for weight loss only diabetes. As far as the surgery, Medicare may cover it depending on certain criteria and your particular situation.

Isn't it concerning that Medicare Advantage plans are taking over the system?

Answer: It’s not concerning it’s very helpful for people who want to go that route. It’s another option and iit could be much more affordable. Everyone makes their own decision based on their personal needs.

My plan covered my cataract surgery but not the lenses I actually needed-how do they get away with that?

Answer: I believe Medicare covers the basic lens but not the upgraded lens. Is that what you mean? Or do you mean the contact lenses that you put in your eye yourself?
