Answer: I believe they have cracked down on celebrities endorsing plans as to the confusion and complaints by beneficiaries when plans weren’t as they understood. Another reason a local and compliant agent is important.
Answer: I love meeting new people and deepening the relationships with current clients. Medicare is a painful process for many and as their trusted advisor, I take pride in carefully explaining the process and options. Along with letting them know we will stay in touch with any questions and to do an annual review to prepare for the following year.
Answer: I think technology will continue to play a vital role. It’s been amazing to assist in accessing benefits and support for agents and clients. Nothing, in my opinion, will be better than a personal touch with clients.
Answer: If the coverage is needed for major issue Part A isn’t enough. If you’re still on company coverage it’s a nice addition but by itself you need additional coverage to fill in the gaps of medicare. Otherwise you’re setting up for a major financial hardship.
Answer: We must always get the drug name, preferred pharmacy and coverage area to review. In a traditional sense the gap is gone but not all plans center each drug. Trusted agent is important.
Answer: Depends on which plan but typically there is a special enrollment and GI in most cases. Again it’s important to have an agent review all of your options.
Answer: A thorough review is necessary. Not all plans cover all drugs. With the appropriate plan you’d have a max of $2000 for covered drugs. For those either expensive meds this is going to be a big financial help.
Answer: We must review the N benefits and confirm the facility accepts Medicare patients. From there one part b deductible is met, we will confirm any additional out of pocket that may exist.
Answer: Medicare supplement do operate secondary to traditional Medicare. Assuming the supplement is out side of a company sponsored plan. Those operate differently.
Answer: Did doctor have updated insurance information? Are they in network? Many things could have happened and cousin be easily fixed.
Answer: Are you still working and on company insurance? Is it creditable? Do you have dependents on your plan? There are many factors as to when and where you transition. Having a trusted Agent in your corner to refer to is very important.
Answer: Typically Plan C is an advantage plan. This have to review benefits for copay and coverage for bloodwork. Maybe there were plan c supplements years ago but I’m not aware of that. Different plans completely
Answer: We would have to look at plans individually. There are some that have advocates for additional services.
Answer: Your agent should have given you the details of the plan to know you will need (possibly) authorizations.
Answer: If you are going to a medicare allowed facility and Dr accept medicare patients and it’s fair and reasonable, if should be covered. Again need the details of procedure.
Answer: Your agent can guide you to the department to speak to or call the member services on your card to have someone review decision. I’d recommend you always lean on your agent first. Personal service is always important.
Answer: Do you have additional Dependents, contributors and HSA and when to apply for A and B. Many factors your agent can help you with.
Answer: It depends on the pan, the drug itself and other things. Not all plans cover all drugs so you may need to change plans to get better coverage.
Answer: Yes. Unless you’re in a possible trial right period but yes they will ask you medical questions to determine eligibility.
Answer: We can provide you the federal part b chart where you can find your income. Once you see where your household falls, you’ll see if you are going to be required to pay IRMAA and what that amount is.
Answer: Deal with a trusted agent. Report unsolicited calls and enroll in do not call list. Lastly NEVER give out your information for any reason
Answer: Possibly. Reach out to your agent to run plan reviews. Also there are additional ways to get drug assistance for expensive drugs.
Answer: Life insurance can be stricter many ways. It can assist in providing benefits incase of long term care needs so that you don’t deplete your regular retirement savings as well as many other things. Health care costs contribute to a lot of shortages in retirement if a major event happens.
Answer: We can review and see if you have any special enrollment periods you weren’t aware of or provide a plan that isn’t subject to the traditional medicare plan enrollment. Your local trusted agent can guide you.
