Answer: Yes, this is true. For 2026 it is capped at $2,100.

I'm living solely on Social Security of $1,400 monthly and can't afford my Medicare premiums and copays. What assistance programs might help someone in my situation?
Answer: There is Medicaid that you can apply for with your local Jobs and Family Services, and there is Extra Help that you can apply for with the Social Security office.
If you qualify they will help pay the Part B monthly premium, and also you can get assistance with your drugs if you qualify.
