Anthony Lucero, Medicare Insurance Broker
About Me
I am a family man with a beautiful wife, 7 children and 12 amazing grandchildren. I love working on classic cars, coaching baseball, fishing & hiking. I started in the insurance industry in March of 1986 with Farmers insurance. I followed my father’s path who was a Prudential Agent and now my daughters are also in the business. I sold auto, home, and life insurance for years prior to adding Medicare and senior related insurance products to my insurance business. I sold my Farmers Agency in 1992 because I love doing what’s right for people and if you can only represent one company it is hard to truly represent your clients and their needs. I also worked with large group medical enrollments which included many airports, prisons, medical groups, hospitals, and many other types of businesses from Colorado, California, Texas, Nevada, Arizona and Florida. I now specialize in helping seniors with their Medicare and any extra help they may qualify for. I am here to do everything I can to help you keep as much money in your pocket as possible. I represent almost every carrier in Colorado and love having the ability to offer my clients the coverage that best suites their needs. I am a proud partner of AIS Medicare & More and believe in the brokerage concept of having access to multiple carriers so you can do right by the client every time.

Q&A with Anthony Lucero
What do you enjoy most about working with Medicare clients?
Answer: What I enjoy most is being able to help relieve the stress many seniors go through with choosing the plan that fits their needs.
I also enjoy the knowledge I gain from my clients life experiences because as agents we meet people from all walks of life.
What is the biggest mistake seniors make when enrolling in Medicare?
Answer: Failure to compare the costs with Medicare to their employer health coverage. Sometimes it makes sense to stay on employer coverage and other times it doesn't.
Will I be penalized if I do not enroll in Medicare when I turn 65?
Answer: Yes, you can be penalized if you don't have what is considered credible coverage. If you or your spouse are still working and your group coverage is considered credible you can delay it with no penalty but you will want to compare your work coverage to Medicare to see which one would work to your benefit based on cost and coverage.
What advice would you give to seniors who are feeling overwhelmed by all the Medicare options available?
Answer: I would advise them to sit down with a certified broker to go over all their options and how they work. It's alot of information and a knowledgeable broker can help you understand your options because every beneficiaries circumstances and needs are different.
