What happens if I am already retired and collecting Social Security when I turn 65?
Answer: Great question! If you are already retired and collecting Social Security, you'll automatically be signed up for parts A and B, effective the first day of your birthday month. You should look your red, white and blue Medicare card to arrive in the mail around 4 months prior to your 65th birthday month. Once you have your Medicare number/card you are eligible to select a private insurance policy. An agent, like me, can help narrow down those option when the time comes!
