Is Original Medicare or Medicare Advantage better? Why do you recommend one over the other?
Answer: This is a tough one. The easiest answer... it depends. The reason I say that is because it is such an individualized conversation to find out what is important to that specific client I am speaking to. Both are good options and both are bad options; just depends on that client's individual situation. We go through pros and cons to both, so our clients are well-informed on their options.
What is one of the the most common misconceptions people have about Medicare?
Answer: I think the most common misconception about Medicare is that it is FREE and it will cover everything medical. So I guess that's two, but they kind of go hand in hand. Medicare is not free, and it does not cover 100% of the bills.
What do you enjoy most about working with Medicare clients?
Answer: I love being able to assess each client's individual needs based on their situation and then providing a solution to their problem. Healthcare is not a "one-size-fits-all" type of deal. So making sure my clients know that I am providing them everything they need to close a lot of the BIG exposures of Original Medicare, that makes me feel fulfilled!
