A Medicare supplement broker told me something about "extra lifetime reserve hospital days". What are those and how do they work?
Answer: If you’re hospitalized longer than 90 days in a Medicare Part A benefit period, you can use up to 60 lifetime reserve days, which are available only once over your lifetime. Once those 60 days are used, they’re gone permanently, though some Medicare Supplement plans can help cover costs or provide additional hospital coverage. Hope this helps!
