My Medicare Advantage plan with UHC has been closed and will not be available next year. Can I switch to enrolling in a Medicare Supplemental plan for 2027 without having to pre-qualify
Answer: Unless a SARS notice was given, then you would not have a special election period [SEP] in order to have a guaranteed issue into a Medicare Supplement to prevent underwriting.
Most plans that will be eliminated will have a replacement for the following year.
What are the reasons why I should work with a Medicare agent?
Answer: Licensed and certified agents must carry E&O insurance for all Medicare enrollments. Medicare Agents will have an understanding of all enrollment plans in the specific county and state. Enrollment errors happen often. Working with licensed agents reduces the chance for mistakes.
