Tammie did a great job assisting me with my Medicare Supplement plan with my recent move to Georgia. She explained the plans available and the options within the plans and kept in touch during the enrollment process. I would highly recommend her for any Medicare assistance.
Q&A with Tammie Robinson
What are the reasons why I should work with a Medicare agent?
Answer: Medicare is not one-size-fits-all, and a good Medicare agent will take the time to understand your doctors, prescriptions, healthcare needs, and budget before discussing your options. I believe in educating my clients so they understand what they’re choosing—not just enrolling them in a plan. Most importantly, I’m still here after the enrollment when questions come up or you need a helping hand.
Should I keep Original Medicare or go with a Part C Medicare Advantage plan? What is better?
Answer: There really isn’t one option that’s better for everyone. Original Medicare gives you more freedom to see providers nationwide who accept Medicare, while Medicare Advantage plans may offer additional benefits and lower out-of-pocket costs. The best choice depends on your doctors, prescriptions, budget, and the benefits that are most important to you.
I have Medicare through Mutual of Omaha but I have no Medicare cards. How do I get my Part A and B cards?
Answer: Great question. You can either call or go online to the website in my post below. If you already have a login, simply request a replacement card.

What if I missed my window to sign up?
Answer: The initial enrollment period has a 7-month window: 3 months before turning 65, the month a person turns 65, and 3 months after. If you missed this window, there may be a SEP, special enrollment period. If not SEP, General enrollment begins October 15 of each year and ends December 7 of the same calendar year. With Medicare coverage starting on 01/01 of new plan year. I would love the opportunity to discuss your case with you. Thank you.
Does Medicare offer life insurance, or is that a separate product I need to buy?
Answer: Great Question. The answer is they are separate accounts; Medicare is health insurance. I am licensed in both and would love to assist you in finding the best care for your needs. Thank you!
Is there a Medicare office near me where I can get help in person?
Answer: There is not an office, but I am a licensed agent in your area and would be more than happy to assist you with your questions regarding Medicare.
Is it ok to work with a Medicare Agent from another state?
Answer: Absolutely, Medicare agents that are licensed in multiple states have the same certification as agents in your resident state.
I picked the plan with the lowest premium, but now every doctor visit feels like a surprise bill. Should I have gone with a higher premium instead?
Answer: Medicare coverage is very personalized care. For this very reason, I ask detailed questions that will allow me to know the specific needs of my clients so that they understand the full scope of their coverage. A higher-premium plan does not automatically mean, as you state, "no surprise bill."
I would love to help you find a personalized plan in the future that caters to your specific needs.
