There are two answers for this question.
If the answer for this relates to Medicare part B and D, self-employed and retirees can miss out on the deduction for there Medicare part B , D and there Medigap premiums.
It can also be that the misunderstand the premium tax credit for ACA, and may have to pay back some of the excess subsidies, when filing.
Answer: It does not, unless high income, if you are going to file join, then it could cost more. same goes the other way, low income and the income between the two of you, possible to quality for Medicaid.
Answer:
I hope not, If you find the correct BROKER first, and they are local and know the plans, and you feel comfortable with them, there is no reason for multiple agents.
If they represent all plans,,,,Plans will be the same in your current county were you live, so all your doing is getting duplication.
Make sure they check all your doctors and all of your medications, with Medciare.gov
Answer:
Everyone is different, if you are aging in or just started with part B, and are not well / healthy it may be your best option, and there will be no underwriting, if you wait. there is a possibility, That you could be underwritten, and they do not have to accept you, or could charge you more. You may not be excepted at a later date.
As a broker/agent I have a Med Sup, any doctor in the United States, that excepts Medicare, will take a supplement. There is no network, like an HMO or a PPO Advantage.
Answer:
A local agent is here to meet with you and help you before and after the sale, You can always speak with the same helpful broker that worked with you. they know the plans in your area, and are local plan specialists,
Remember a BROKER represent many company's, NOT JUST ONE, SO THEY CAN FIND YOU THE BEST PLAN FOR YOU. THEY SHOULD CHECK ALL OF YOUR DOCTORS AND MEDICATIONS, AND IF ADVANTAGE PLAN MAKE SURE THAT all are covered by the plan, not just some.
Answer:
Four main gaps,,, the big one,,,,,,, NO MAXIMUM OUT OF POCKET LIMIT. On original Medicare, parts A and B.
The Big three, Lifestyle, no DENTAL, no routine VISION, no routine Hearing exams or hearing aids.
Part A and B do not cover most self-administered prescription drugs... Steve Guiness,CSA
Answer: What I enjoy most is the peace of mind I can provide by simplifying a complex system into a plan the truly fits someone's life. It is rewarding to see the relief on a clients face when they realize that there healthcare needs are well-protected.
Answer: The best piece of advise I can give is.... Don't choose a plan based solely on the monthly premium. You need to look at MOOP limit and your specific medications and your doctors are in the network.
Answer: Instead of saying free, let say that some advantage plans have a zero monthly charge. so enrollee would not pay a fee. but the do have co-pays, co-insurance, and a maximum out of pocket amount, per year.
Answer: ORIGINAL MEDICARE DOES NOT WORK IN EUROPE. YOU ADVANTAGE PLAN POSSIBLE WILL WORK, DEPENDS ON YOUR PLAN, AND MOST MEDIGAP PLANS WILL COVER YOU FOR UP TO $50,000.
Answer:
ONE REGRET IS THAT THEY DID NOT PURCHASE A MEDIGAP PLAN WHEN FIRST ELIGIBLE, AND WERE WELL.
THEY THEN FIND OUT THAT THEY MUST GO THROUGH UNDERWRITTING, AND MAY NOT QUALIFY FOR SUPPLEMENTAL COVERAGE AT THAT TIME. WHEN THY NEED IT.
Answer: IN MOST CASES YOU DO NOT NEED A REFERRAL TO USE A SPECIALIST FOR ORGINAL MEDCIACRE STEVE GUINESS
Answer: PART B COVERS MEDICAL INSURANCE, COVERS SERVICES FROM DOCTORS AND OTHER HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS, OUTPATIENT CARE, HOME HEALTH CARE PLUS DURABLE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AND PREVENTIVE SERVICES LIKE SCREENINGS, SHOTS OR VACCINES AND YEARLY WELLNESS VISIT STEVE GUINESS
Answer:
Answer to your question, You should work with a Medicare BROKER, who is and INDEPENDENT helper that represents most Medicare companies in your zip code.
The Brokers are paid buy the Insurance companies . a state regulated amount, which is basically, the same amount for all companies.
That means that the broker, will work for YOU, and find you the best coverage, that meets you individual needs.
The broker, will check your prescription drug list, and also your physicians, and ask some basic health questions to make sure that you are in a correct plan, where you will receive the most and best benefits for YOU.
Each Medicare beneficiary is treated as an individual case, whether an Advantage Plan, A Dual eligible special needs plan (Medicare/Medigap) a Chronic special needs plan or a Supplemental plan, What ever work best for the enrollee. Steve Guiness CSA Certified Senior Advisor
