What happens if my specialist leaves the network in the middle of the year?
Answer: If your specialist (or any Doctor) leaves the network in the middle of the year, you may have to choose a different Doctor or pay out of pocket. There might be a special enrollment period option for you depending on your area. For example, is there a 5 star plan available, do you have a certain health condition that would qualify for a csnp plan and possibly others. An independent licensed broker/agent can help if you find yourself in that situation.
My parent takes several brand name prescriptions, how do we know which plan saves the most money overall?
Answer: Your parents and/or you should contact a licensed broker/agent who can help guide you thru the different plans available in your area. That is one of the benefits of having an independent broker/agent, such as myself, that can do all of the hard work of comparing plans for you and present the options that would work for you.
Are there disadvantages to working with a Medicare broker/agent?
Answer: The majority of Medicare Agents will compare all of the plans in your area, this is very helpful to a client. Just be careful of the captive agents that only work for 1 insurance carrier and only show the plans for that particular carrier, that is the only disadvantage of working with a broker/agent.
