Quick, easy. Peyton is pleasant, professional and thorough. I know Turning 65 Solutions is working on my behalf. They just lowered insurance cost for my husband and me, and we didn't have to ask!! Have been with them for 10 years and service is excellent!!
Q&A with Savannah Rose
Do I have to pay extra to use a local Medicare Licensed Insurance agent?
Answer: No, there are never any fees with working with an independent broker. The insurance company pays us to take care of you.
How do you stay up to date with changes in Medicare policies and plan options each year?
Answer: Agents are required to take continuing education courses and contract with each company every year. I also stay informed through medicare.gov and ssa.org.
In what situations will Medicare pay for medical services in a foreign hospital?
Answer: Every plan is different. A supplement has the most coverage in a foreign hospital. A supplement typically pays 80% for emergency medical care abroad.
What are the reasons why I should work with a Medicare agent?
Answer: It doesn't cost you anything to work with a Medicare agent and they can be your trusted advisor if you have any questions about coverage, bills, etc. It's helpful to have a local advisor without having to call an 800# and waiting on hold. A Medicare agent does all the hard work for you.
I'm still working at 67, and I don't know if I need Part B. Why is something so basic so hard to figure out?
Answer: If you have employer insurance, it depends on how your insurance works with Medicare. If you are 67 and haven't signed up for Part B, it's probably because you didn't need to get it when you turned 65 because your employer insurance was primary to Medicare. If you are paying out of pocket for your employer insurance, you should talk with an agent to do a cost analysis. A lot of times, Medicare is better and less expensive than employer insurance.
