My Advantage plan says I need a referral just to see a dermatologist. I thought PPOs didn't require that - was I wrong?
Answer: PPOs don’t require referrals, check your insurance card to see if you truly have a PPO and if yes then the doctor office may made a mistake. I would call back and let them specifically know that you have a PPO if that is the case.
