Answer: You generally do not need to keep statements as long as you have an online Medicare portal set up. This will retain statements for around 3 years.
Answer: It does not affect your enrollment in Medicare. You will get a quarterly bill for your Medicare Part B premium verses monthly coming out of your Social Security benefit. Once you enroll in SSA at age 70 then your premium will come out monthly from your benefits.
Answer: If on Social Secuirty disability for 24 months, a person can then apply for Medicare benefits. Apply through Social Security. Best way in my opinion, is to set up a call or in person appointment with Social Security.
Answer: It can contribute in many ways. It's mainly used for income replacement and debt pay off if loss of life. It prevents a fire sale. It can also be used as a tax efficient legacy tool.
Answer: it is your total out of pocket cost for covered medical services for the year. It takes into account deductibles, co-pays, and coinsurance. Once you reach the max out of pocket limit you will have no more out of pocket cost for covered medical services for the remainder of the year. Then starts over first of the year.
Answer: You can always ask how many years the agent has been in the business. It could be hard for someone to tell because even an inexperienced agent can seem very knowledgeable to a new Medicare beneficiary. I think it should be considered what kind of support the inexperienced agent has. Great support can make an inexperienced agent great.
Answer: Yes, Medicare can cover these surgeries. They do have to be medically necessary and the amount that is covered depends on the coverage you have.
Answer: Plan K's premium can be substantially lower than Plan G and save money on the monthly premium. In return less is covered and you can occur more out of pocket cost verse Plan G. Depending on your health, Plan K can cost you more over time in out of pocket cost. There is also the unknown of your future health.
Answer: I truthfully do not have any frustrations. As an agent, you have to understand this is a lot of information for one to grasp, and you have to have patience with the clients you are enrolling.
Answer: Yes, Medicare does cover IV chemotherapy. It will depend on if it is in-patient or out-patient for it to be covered under Part A or Part B Medicare.
Answer: Medicare Supplement plans do not cover prescription drug coverage. Supplement is medical coverage only. For prescription drug coverage, you would need to sign up for a Part D plan to go along with your supplement.
Answer: Yes, an employer can reimburse Medicare premiums. The employer has to comply with Affordable Care Act and IRS rules.
Answer: The start ratings can vary year to year. For 2026, the following states have 5-star plans available: Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Texas, and Puerto Rico. The availability will vary on county as well.
