Ric Santos, Medicare Insurance Agent

About Me

I got into insurance because I enjoy helping people understand their options and make informed decisions—not because I like sales. Medicare can be confusing, and I know how overwhelming it can feel when you're trying to sort through plans, costs, networks, and deadlines.

I've worked in customer service for over 30 years and have been in the insurance industry for more than 7 years. Today, I'm licensed in 17 states and work with multiple insurance companies, which allows me to help people compare their options and find coverage that fits their needs and budget.

I work with Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Prescription Drug Plans, but my role is really to help you understand what's available and what makes the most sense for your situation. If you're new to Medicare, retiring, moving, or just wondering whether your current plan is still the right fit, I'm happy to help.

One thing that's important to me is being available after enrollment. Questions come up, plans change, and sometimes people just need help understanding a bill or a letter they received. I want my clients to feel comfortable reaching out whenever they need assistance.

I also speak Tagalog and enjoy helping members of the Filipino community navigate Medicare and health insurance options.

My goal is simple: provide honest guidance, answer your questions, and help you feel confident in your Medicare decisions.

I was very apprehensive about enrolling Medicare. It can be confusing and most everyone seems to have stories they have heard if you dont the right plan or certain enrollment times on and on. I was referred to Ric S by someone at my church. Ric helped me thru understanding the aspects of Medicare and worked with me going thru plans and what works best for me. Its been a relief knowing that I had someone to guide me through the Medicare maze (if you will) and he did that! Thank you and appreciate the there are folks out there to help us.

Answer: The best Medicare Supplement insurance companies in my experience are those who are widely recognized. They are popular because their rates don't increase drastically every year.

Answer: No, you're not suppose to have both Medicare and Marketplace coverage at the same time. You can get a Marketplace plan if you're 65 and over if you don't qualify for Medicare.

Answer: Yes, but depends on the plan and the services needed. Any plan will cover Emergency, but some plans will even cover specialists visits.

Answer: Yes, but there is typically a 24-month waiting period. You can get it almost automatically if you have ALS or ESRD.

Answer: While it's free to use the service of a Medicare agent, it can be costly, very costly to get the wrong plan. A good Medicare agent will make sure that you're on the best plan year after year.
