Should there be stricter regulations on Medicare Advantage marketing and sales practices?
Answer: I feel like the rules and regulations that already exist are more than sufficient, especially for a local agent or broker. The call centers that bombard everyone nonstop, in my opinion, are the main entities that are disregarding or finding ways around those. So, more regulations will mainly affect local agents and brokers negatively.
I would love to see the call centers, especially overseas centers, be banned from contracting with Medicare and Insurance companies. If a call center is captive with a company, then they are a lot more compliant and trustworthy.
Those independent call centers are doing major harm to US beneficiaries, and the local agents/brokers/companies. That, in my opinion, results in financial damage as well to US economy
