Why might Original Medicare with a Part D plan be better than a Medicare Advantage plan for frequent travelers?

Answer: If you travel frequently,, With Original Medicare, you have the flexibility to see any doctor or visit any hospital in the U.S. that accepts Medicare. Your Part D prescription drug plan can also offer added convenience through access to national pharmacy chains where you can fill your prescriptions. Many plans also offer mail-order options, allowing you to receive 90-day supplies before your trip and easily update your mailing address if needed.

If we choose a Medicare Advantage plan and later regret it, can we go back to Original Medicare without penalties?

Answer: You can go back to original medicare during AEP, annual open enrollment between October 15 and December 7. If you go back on original Medicare, you wouldn’t need to purchase a prescription drug plan know as Part D

What is the trap of Medicare Advantage plans?

Answer: There is no trap with Medicare advantage plans. They just have some specific requirements they have networks you must stay within their network if it’s an HMO if it’s a PPO, you have a broader network. Some procedures may include prior authorizations, but Medicare advantage plans also offer some extra benefits, including some ancillary benefits, and often come with a low premium to a zero premium.!

I tried calling Medicare and got transferred five times. Is there any way to get straight answers from them?

Answer: One thing I tell my Clients if they have questions on Medicare is to call me to see if I can navigate and find the answer for them. I would look into finding a local independent broker to help you with all your Medicare questions. If they cant help at least they point you in the best direction to get your question answered.

Does Medicare Part D cover Repatha?

Answer: Repatha is covered under Part D as long as it is on the formulary. Also it may require a pre authorization
