Q&A with Oscar Chavez

Answer: If you have Medicare Original, it will not be affected. But your Par D coverage you will have to call your provider to change coverage.

Answer: Yes, it can terminate your coverage if you don't pay your monthly premium to the company you chose, or you stop paying your par B.

Answer: The biggest mistake is not signing up for a prescription drug plan or Part B when they are eligible for it.

Answer: I enjoy educating people on Medicare, creating a bond with them, and helping them solve issues that come along.

Answer: If you are turning 65 and still working and have insurance through your job that has more than 20 employees, you could delay it.

Answer: If you can not afford your premiums, you may qualify for the Medicare Savings Program that will help you pay your premiums.

Answer: If you have insurance through your job, I recommend signing up for Part A, since it costs you nothing if you have 40 credits, and if you don't have insurance through your job, I recommend you go to a Social Security office 3 months before your birth day to sign up for Medicare Part A and B, and then call me.

Answer: You might be getting a bill for part B because you delayed signing up for it. I would also check if you got your Part D.

Answer: It might limit your options for finding a provider, and I will suggest a PPO plan to give you more options.

Answer: This is one great reason to have an insurance agent on your side, who will explain that Medicare only covers 80%, and you are responsible for the 20%.

Esta es una buena razón por el cual es bueno tener un agente de seguros a tu lado, ya que el te hubiera podido explicar que Medicare cubre el 80% y tú eres responsable del 20%

Answer: I would advise you to ask your pharmacist if they work with a discount plan like GoodRx or SingleCare to shop for a price.

Answer: I can help you add a doctor to your plan by searching if he is in the network and accepting new patients.

Answer: You should work with an agent because they can advise you and help you with any questions you have about Medicare. Also, it does not cost you anything to have someone on your side.

Yo te recomiendo tener un agente de seguro a tu lado ya que es la persona que te puede guiar en el mundo complicado de Medicare y no te cuesta nada .
