Answer: A number of billing errors is simply a coding error. You can ask the doctor office or the hospital to make sure it has been codded correctly and resubmitted. Another is to contact your carriers customer service and ask them to investigate it.

Answer: It depends on the type of plan you have.

If you have a supplemental plan you can change to another supplemental anytime during the year though you will need to answer medical questions to qualify for the change. If you have an Advantage plan (HMO/PPO) or a stand along drug plan you can change plans during the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) Starting October 15 to December 7 and the plan would start January 1.

Answer: Yes. If a client falsified information on an application. If they are outside of eligibility standards.

Answer: Insurance carriers are facing difficult times. They are being asked to cover more than in the past. If the preventative is covered under Original Medicare A&B is one thing but if the insurance need to cover more of this they will have to make some hard decisions. This will affect a client because it might cause an increase in co-pays and a decrease is supplemental options.

Answer: This is a unique situation and must be investigate thoroughly. I would also look into why SS dropped you SSI.

Answer: Not only do plans vary by state but they can also vary by cities and counties in those states. Be aware that your county covers the plan you are looking at.

Answer: First of all the plans for 2027 do not come out until October 15. Until December 7th, this is the time to make a change for a January 1 start date. Contact me and we would do a "needs" analysis and research different plans to find an exact one for yourself.

Answer: AS of right now I do not know of any 5 star rated plans in the DFW area. Plans for 2027 have not come out yet.

Answer: You are not a number. With an agent you get personal, hands-on attention. An agent will offer different options to your specific needs. A good independent agent will get to know you on a personal level. With a carrier you are just a number.
