About Me
Matthew Claassen, CMT is CEO of Medigap Seminars; an independent insurance
brokerage specializing in Medicare. Medigap Seminars helps people with their Medicare
and retirement needs in 49-states. His educational Medicare videos are among the most
popular Medicare videos in the country and can be found on YouTube or his website.
Before founding Medigap Seminars in 2015, Mr. Claassen owned and operated Claassen
Research, LLC a hedge fund and mutual fund advisory specializing in intermarket
correlations and economic sector rotation throughout a business cycle. Prior to Claassen
Research he earned financial analyst designation as a Chartered Market Technician
(CMT) and managed portfolios for high net net-worth individuals for several decades.
From the late 1990s to early 2000s Mr. Claassen created and hosted what became the
number one radio talk-show in the Washington-Baltimore are called The Technical View,
complimenting his financial seminars and newsletter of the same name.
Mr. Claassen is a Master Gardener and spends his down-time nurturing his 2 ½ acre lot
in South Florid filled with varieties of tropical fruit and medicinal plants.

Tristan worked with me to assure I received the coverage I wanted. My Medicare enrollment was delayed and Tristan made sure that the supplemental policy was in place as soon as I received my enrollment information. I'm glad to have an agent that is responsive when I have problems.

I spoke with Jordan who is professional and knowledgeable on the workings of Medigap plans. I have had the good fortune to have worked with Jessica Cudzil on changing from my Advantage plan to a supplement plan. Jessica has been absolutely a Godsend to me in getting through this process. She has been patient and kind in our communications and honest with me about all aspects of the process. The process of selecting a Part B supplement was easy and fast. My challenge came in selecting Part D coverage. Looking at the plans available in my area I thought I selected the best plan for me but Jessica explained to me why a different plan was better for me financially. She helped me to look at the overall cost of the plan and showed me how it was not the better plan. It made so much more sense to me after she explained everything. After agreeing with her I would go with the plan she recommended, we started to look at my starting the enrollment process and ran into a problem with the envrollment reason. Turns out I was outside of the 63 day waiting period. Jessica then did some research and found I was outside the waiting period which would cause me to be subject to a penalty for late enrollment in addition to not having drug coverage for several months. She then presented me the options I had which were not ideal for me. In the end Jessica recommended I delay the effective date of my Part B coverage to the end of my 180 day waiting period which resulted in my only losing drug coverage for 2 months which gave me time to stock up on my medications to carry me into 2027. This was such a relief to me. I now have my Part B supplement effective 11/1/26 for Plan N which is the best choice for me. I can now wait for Part D open enrollment to apply for my drug coverage and understand I will have to pay a small penalty for late enrollment and I am grateful to accept that to have the coverage I need for my future. I strongly recommend to anyone looking for help understanding Medicare plans to go to Medigapseminars.gov for assistance. There is a wealth of information available to help anyone understand the difference between the various plans and Matthew Claassen does an outstanding job explaining the differences. All staff I dealt with including Jordan and Jennifer were very helpful and professional. The star of course was Jessica Cudzil. I am so blessed to have worked with her. I wish I could give her 10 stars!!!
