About Me

Maryanna Lanham is an integral member of the team at Waring-Ahearn Insurance, a full-service agency, where she leads the health and life division. With a foundation in finance that began in 2014 as an agent, financial professional, and partner at New York Life, Maryanna brings both industry knowledge and a client-centered approach to her work.

In 2024, following the loss of her father, Maryanna’s perspective deepened and her professional focus evolved. She now dedicates much of her work to serving seniors, helping individuals and families navigate Medicare and long-term care planning. Her goal is to provide clarity and guidance as clients prepare for retirement, healthcare needs, and the legacy they wish to leave behind.

Maryanna has shared her insights and experiences as a contributing author in The Extraordinary Makeover: Hidden Expressions of the Everyday Woman. Recognized as a “Woman to Watch” in both 2022 and 2023, she has been featured in several local newspapers for her impactful work in the community. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, and has received the Beacon of Light Award from Calvert County, along with more than $70,000 in grants supporting local initiatives. In 2023, she became an alumna of Leadership Southern Maryland and was included in Marquis Who’s Who.

At the core of Maryanna’s work is a deep commitment to helping others navigate life’s transitions with confidence and care. Her personal experience as a caregiver—first supporting her father and now welcoming her mother into her home—continues to shape her understanding of the challenges families face and strengthens her dedication to the clients and community she serves. Outside the office, Maryanna is learning how to sail and play pool, two pursuits that remind her of the value of practice, patience, and consistency—principles she believes are just as important in serving clients as they are in everyday life.
